When working in London in the early 90s I went along to an Anglo Italian Cup Final at Wembley, Notts County v Brescia. Maybe 1994? Hagi was in the Brescia team and he was so much better than everyone else on the park that he was like a dad playing with a bunch of toddlers in the back garden, he wasn’t even taking it seriously. Think he went to Barca that summerSerie A late 80’s early 90’s was unreal. Batistuta and Hagi both got relegated!! And then played in Serie B. Bierhoff was also in Serie B at the time. Unreal depth of talent during that period!!

Yeah you and Bluearmy are right, the depth and spread of talent in Serie A in the 80s and 90s was incredible. Hagi (along with Stoitchkov) were amongst my idols as a boy.
