What a petty-minded individual.
I guess all of the favourites should step aside in every game so that the romance can live on.

Here's your trophy for taking part Ollie.
The worst thing about all this bitterness from the media is that reporters are in the privileged position of being allowed into stadiums. Fans like us are denied the chance to watch our team becoming the greatest team in history. We won't get to see the run-in for a potential quadruple. Holt gets a pitch-side view of history being made and throws it back in our faces. He's not the only one.
The foootball press does a great disservice to the paying customers. It's a fantastic sport and deserves to be celebrated for what it is. The coverage of other sports is totally different...and much fairer.

Sporting the mid 80's prog rocker hair do, with the top button undone and loosely tied tie look.

Trend setting hip guy.....in his mid 50's. I bet he's beating the ladies off with a shitty stick.
Definitely a velvet jacket, faded jeans and cowboy boots wearing kinda guy

Brilliantly put my friend

Will the scruffy twat say the same if the rags win today. A team that fucked the F A cup off one year to chase the dollar around the world. Or to the dippers who year after year cannot compete in more than 1 trophy a year. No give us shit and Pep who takes every competition seriously and gives it the respect it deserves by fielding very strong teams throughout. I hope some bastard pisses petrol on the wanker.

Headline from today's Mirror "Government poised to take over running of Liverpool after corruption claims"

Had to read it just to see if it was a John Henry story....

Also dipped into RAWK yesterday, MEDIA paranoia is everywhere. Apparently they are "victims" of a media campaign against them and the press love us and the scum.....

The dippers and victims in the same sentence ? That must be a first ;-)

The romance of the cup? Cheltenham gave us a right game when City played them, put more effort in and created more than Everton did yesterday and they nearly put City out. Maybe these multimillion pound Premier league sides should try harder against us.

All the bottom 4 were re-elected that season. Wigan got 14 votes but Newport and Hartlepool got 33 each, Barrow 38 and Lincoln 47.
Coincidentally all 4 have been or still are in non-league.

Cambridge United took Bradford PA's place in 1970. Hereford took Barrow's place in 1972 after a tie and a re-vote. Wigan finally got elected in 1978, taking Southport's place, a year after Wimbledon took Workington's place.
Thanks for the information. It is funny how a piece that happened all those years ago can resurface .

Funny how when City are good the money jibes in the media start flowing again. I don’t seem to recall this last season?....
October/November & December were very quiet on the ‘city money ruining the league’ style, it was more ‘has city’s money train run out of steam against the rest of the league as they languish in 10th.’

Can I add ‘amidst a group of smokers’ ;)

What a pathetic and desperate thing to write, this prat doesnt deserve to have a platform to spout his hypocritical bullshit, anyone would think we steamroll this competition every year. Arse have won it more than anyone but I bet hes never said this about them, or any other club that has won it more times than us.

Everton are seventh in the premiere league, fighting for a cl place with one of europes best and most successful managers, and this shithouse thinks beating them away is unromantic!!!! As someone has said, will he be the same if chelsea win today!!

Why, southampton knocked a championship side out yesterday, surely a lower league side left in the competition would have provided more "romance" for him. City were arguably involved in the most "romance of the fa cup" like game against cheltenham town, when we were losing with 20 minutes left, bet he cried onto his prematurely written headlines when we prevailed.

This prick isnt interested in anything but spouting hatred about us from his priveledged position, a sorry attitude to have, but one that is currently seen as acceptible and expected accross most of the footy media. He will hopefully get his chance to write about romance if the rags lose today.........but I wont hold my breath.

We still have a lot of winning to do to overcome all this bullshit with our policy of fighting them on the pitch, but with our current manager and squad, we are heading in the right direction.
