My daughter is tested at the weekend ready for school on Monday. Not at weekend.
It's down to individual surgeries who get given supplies to vaccinate their patients if they have a larger supply than demand rather than waste it they will go outside the current cohort, I believe they have been told not to do this now although am aware that the site on the car park at Morrisons in Winsford will still grab a few shoppers if they have opened a vial at the end of shift which can leave a few doses. If you have a pharmacy based center like that near you may be worth lingering half hour before they close. Can someone explain to me this
I live in Sale (Trafford area) and I'm in my 40s so probably have to wait until may for my 1st jab.
I know 3 people younger than me who also live in Trafford with no health conditions and they have had their 1st jab.
Why is this happening?
There was an article last week saying those that had Covid then the jab were more likely to suffer side effects, certainly happened to me and my colleague. Get the paracetamol ready for Tuesday and if necessary whatever you do have a contingency not to work. Good news is the booster is less likely to give you any side effects.Me too. 9:20 at The John Smiths Stadium in Hudds.
I'm probably immune anyway, having had COVID 2 months ago, but still going for it. Why wouldn't you?
It doesn’t have to be evidence based criticism mate. Why would there be continuous criticism of Oxford / AZ? Their crime was having a ooor press briefing. IMHO it might be close to the old adage, nobody appreciates a free [or at cost] good. I base that on what I’ve read in articles and posts on hereWhy would there be criticism? Moderna was never due before spring - I think this is probably in part because Trump block-bought the first 100m.
J&J is still under a month since requesting approval here.
My Auntie in her mid thirties had a brain tumour removed in the late 50''s, even with rudimentary surgery it was deemed successful at the time but she wasn't expected to survive more than a few years. She lived a good life, until the mid 80's and passed with a completely unrelated illness.Thanks.
She did have problems from surgery that left her with some physical and visual deficits that are outwardly almost invisible.
However she is the strongest person I have ever met and is now a solicitor, living independently.
She has scans every two years and I feel like shitting myself every time they come around.
She thinks she’s invincible.
That's so sad, at that age living longer is a bonus but the heartache of not being able to see him is distressing, hope you're wrong and he does get out alive. My Dad (89) is in hospital with kidney and heart issues unlikely to come out alive not allowed in to see him at all.

Why though, I just don’t get it what IS the hardship of having to keep your distance and wear a mask in certain places ,supermarkets say or doctors waiting rooms? It’s not any real hardship is it. Certainly not one that would have me grabbing a pitchfork and flaming torch.
The initial quote about social distancing for years to come makes absolutely no sense.Supermarkets, doctors - fine. But you can't blame cynics for thinking it wouldn't end there. Cinemas, gigs, restaurants when you're not eating etc. It's a potentially miserable existence. No one wants that, especially when it quite literally shouldn't be necessary if these jabs do their jobs.
Yeah, I've heard that. Thanks for the heads up though. There was an article last week saying those that had Covid then the jab were more likely to suffer side effects, certainly happened to me and my colleague. Exactly. I'm sure if we were all to do enough digging then we'd find a plethora of varying opinions on this and all other Covid-related topics. I'm not sure why anyone is taking it as a given. It could end up being a voluntary thing and some may feel comfortable continuing to wear masks even when they aren't compulsory, a bit like you see in a lot of Far East countries.May have been just one opinion in sea of opinions from those in these sciences.
Could refer to globally and perhaps travel...I’ve not really followed it up.
Nailed it!

Personally, I think when you consider the incredible rollout of the jab so far and factor in the efficacy of the vaccine along with how easily we're being told they can be modified to deal with emerging variants then I can see the UK being out of the worst of this and back to relative normality roughly in line with the dates we've seen in the roadmap. It's a different matter for most other European countries and I think they will be a few months behind us but will get there eventually once they're all jabbed up.
The day after after was worse for me, no more than a hangover really, just lethargic and a sore arm, a small price to pay.Yeah, I've heard that. Thanks for the heads up though.
I'm fine, so far...
