That fall in wk to wk drop this week is slightly concerning. Hopefully just a blip.

Last week Tuesday in England hospitals at 101 was the only day that was over 100 in this number so hopefully we will not see another over 98 this week.

I just worked on UK population statistics (including Health) at a senior level for 10 years.
You just don't make public announcements like the US board did without asking questions first.
As AZ stated earlier this afternoon - All our data is available. They just need to ask questions if they have any issues.

Spain just reported that they will lift the the ban on UK visitors from March 30.
A ray of hope for those on here who yearn for a foreign holiday.

Makes perfect sense ! We can't expect cases or deaths to fall in an exactly uniform pattern, so always best to look week-on-week as numbers reach low levels.

NB If you focus purely on deaths in the last week it shows a larger % fall in deaths.

Just got my letter telling me to stop shielding on the 1st April and go back to work.
Sort of looking forward to going back to work, but still abit nervous about it, especially as how it seems to be increasing in Europe again.

up 37 day to day and 95 week to week

1, 169 , 000 tests - way down 700 k or so on yesterday


Not sure of the significance of cases being so flat almost regardless of gigantic day to day shifts in test numbers by over half a million.
