Started doing the Howler trail virtual 10k series today up and around Entwistle Reservoir tough going in the mud, rain and wind.
Thanks. A bit better today but still not right. Hopefully good for a refresher run tomorrow.Hope you feel better soon mate. It knocked me out for a few days.
At least a couple mate, small recovery run of 2-3 miles will help though. Keep moving if you can.Still absolutely shattered from that 15 k yesterday , how many rest days should I do .

Yes, I've been dealing with this for something like 8 months now. At the start, I thought it was piriformis syndrome; now I'm wondering if it's sciatica due to a slipped disc. It was too painful to run at first but I've been doing quite a bit of strength work which seems to have helped. I do still have some pain in the glute/leg but it's improved; the back pain is pretty annoying though. Should probably get organised and see a physio.Anyone carried on running whilst heading lower back - sciatica pain? Physio and chiropractor hasn’t shifted it and the latter said to stop any impact sports including running and football throughout having treatment. It’s not really made a massive amount of difference after 6 weeks so I’m thinking of just starting running again anyway as I’m missing it. Was probably running 25k a week over 3/4 runs before at a reasonable pace. Just wondering if anyone has managed a bad back whilst continuing to get some running in?
Normal service resumed. A short run before dawn at the usual pace for the highlight of the day ! But now the virtual reality of the work pc :(Let us know how you get on, TCP.
No mateDid you get the HM training plan i sent you on insta?
Well feel i have a half marathon in my legs now which will boost my confidence a bit ithink. Just did 18.5k in 1hr 48. Took the first 7 or 8k nice and easy at around 6min per k and then slightly upped it a bit and felt good. Legs tired at the end but with some more training before the 11th hopefully i'll be ok. Beautiful day out there as well.
Yeah felt good and managed to increase my pace slowly over it so hopefully i can get around 2 hours. Knackered now i've stopped though.Just saw on Strava, well done mate, great run and quick pace - less than a couple miles for HM - i reckon you can do it under 2 hours
Posture. Too tenseHonestly don't know how I have managed to get this excruciating pain along my shoulders and neck from running the 10k the other day.
