The Amazing Line Of Duty starts again tonight

The other noticeable thing was the hugely inflated proportion of women and BAME police officers compared to real life and that one of the main characters had to be gay which is standard in every single BBC drama these days. It's quite right that dramas should include BAME and gay/lesbian characters but it seems that the BBC go overboard these days to demonstrate their inclusive credentials even when it's barely relevant to the plot. Having said that, it's the same with Unforgotten on ITV.
Just waiting on the one legged gender neutral Chinese Midget to rock up in episode 3.

My 3 year old granddaughter has better car tantrums than Kelly did, thinking she has been miscast. Anyhow a bit better than last week.

More twists and turns tonight. And another old face turned up in the form of the prison officer who made life tough in jail for Lindsay Denton. Really enjoying it - roll on next week.

Yep. Good episode again last night. What is Ted up to with Corbett’s widow? What will Steve do now he knows something fishy is going on? Lots of unanswered questions and twists and turns.

I reckon all that cash in the attic is from his years undercover, he must have made loads whilst doing it.
The previous series explains the stash in the attic.
Hastings nicked it from a crook and gave it to the woman because of what happened previously in N Ireland.
Also her hubby was considered bent despite being undercover so she got no death in service benefits.

I'm bored with it, not the storyline, the unbelievable wooden acting

Can see what you mean! They had a clever idea about bringing in the real actors for each series and they’ve had some good ones over the years. Alas, that seems to have stopped.

Seeing all the hype and having never watched an episode I binge-watched the entire first series last weekend.
My word what a disappointment - wooden acting, terrible cliched dialogue, far-fetched plot turns designed to create OMG responses in the audience but leaving me angry with their implausiblity. Fine actress like Gina McKee totally wasted as a simpering lover of the 'villain' of the piece (Lenny James playing Gates who gave a nuanced performance as the flawed cop under investigation, only good thing in it)...and who we are somehow expected to believe is a corrupt, ruthless businesswoman in her day-job. Not sure i'll be bothering with it again unless it improves exponentially.
