I have no idea who we will be signing but my gut reaction is that come the end of the transfer window we will be in a stronger position than we are today.
I tend to agree but we have a rabbit in the hat, sancho sell on feeWe're a club that will steadfastly refuse to go a penny over our valuation for a player. We missed out on Van Dijk because of it. I don't know how much our valuation of Haaland is but I'll be very surprised if there's not a club out there who will pay the extra £10-15m that we won't be willing to. That's why I don't see us getting him, and why we very rarely go in for players who are wanted by other big clubs.
"generational talent" a term used by fuckwits who want to sound like they know what they are talking about, what a load of twatter speak.Didn't the club say something about signing a generational signing.
That either means delap, given how long Forden took to be introduced, delap won't be the answer yet.
Or were going to sign a player that doesn't fit the previous mould of signings. That means too dollar.
Peps comments are just distancing himself and sending message that we'll walk away.
I think Pep might use the academy more seems like we have a golden group of players coming through, with very high potential. Also on Foden false 9 weve seen it three times. Once against Madrid where he got man of the match, the second against Chelsea where he was brilliant and got a goal and lastly against Liverpool in the second half where he was amazing. Pep might be grooming him to be what Messi was for him at Barca. Messi at 20 and foden at 20 the stats are similar.
Sancho left because he wasn't going to get the chances that HE thought he deserved. Would that be fair to say?
I think it's pretty obvious that the same could happen with Delap. Young players are quite impatient unless they happen to be boyhood fans.
Obviously you are much closer to the situation than me so can present us with all the 'facts'?
When did the club talk about making a generational signing.Didn't the club say something about signing a generational signing.

I thought I read khaldoon said it in his quotes about Sergio going. When did the club talk about making a generational signing.
Not sure if that’s a dig, but just in case, I can confirm I’m not a fuckwit, have no pretension of trying to sound like I’m in the know (like 99.99% on here) and am far too old to be speaking ‘twatter speak’."generational talent" a term used by fuckwits who want to sound like they know what they are talking about, what a load of twatter speak.
Been quite poor and disruptive the last few seasons, doubt we're still interested.Could we be going for Dybala ? must be going cheap does he not play false 9 these days ? Where we not linked with him a few years ago ? How is he doing

Juventus feel BETRAYED by Paulo Dybala and want rid of him
ALVISE CAGNAZZO IN ITALY: With the club having taken stern action against Dybala, it has now emerged they are keen to offload him in just a few months rather than allow him to slip away for free.www.dailymail.co.uk
Yes, a plan not to buy him.

Other options are available, including something different to add to our midfield line-up.We'll see. I suspect the people saying we don't need a striker right now will be the same people blasting our decision not to replace Agüero come January.
Exactly like with Kompany. We said we didn't need to replace him but by Christmas it was abundantly clear that not replacing him was a huge mistake. In hindsight the decision not to replace him meant winning anything major that season was never going to happen. We can't make the same mistake again.

Agreed. But if we can't afford the best I can't see us bringing in someone not in the top-ish bracket. Alternative 'solutions' may well be required.I think this strikerless system we've been playing is a reactive solution, not a proactive one. We're somehow going to win the league without really playing a top striker for most of the season because we have the greatest tactician in the history of the sport at the helm. But ideally we'd have a top striker getting the goals- it's in Pep's nature to use one (Villa, Lewandowski, Agüero have all thrived under him).
To me, playing with no striker has worked out because of a mixture of Pep's ability and some great individual performances (mainly Gundogan. Fuck knows where we'd be if he hadn't stepped up). But I don't think it's going to be a long-term answer.
I asked fuck and he reckons third(mainly Gundogan. Fuck knows where we'd be if he hadn't stepped up).
I asked fuck and he reckons third
He doesn't really, he's just a contrary ****.But he also thinks Ronaldo is better than Messi so should we really be listening to him?
