Has he got enough international appearances for a work permit?

Don't know much about him other than he has been out on loan more or less the whole time.
The work permit is probably the biggest issue. But he's been phenomenal in La Liga.

Might be the reason we are linked with ings and Daka both strikers both cheap to buy.

This set of accounts are the ones you want the biggest losses in I believe from a UEFA/FFP POV. To have Sane money etc coming in after whether deliberate or by accident is probably a good thing.

I still think they’ll sign a player before June 30th to maximize what they can do over the summer whilst spreading costs over two sets of accounts.

From this, from Soriano

“The likely normalised losses for each of the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons will therefore be less than £60m per year.”

sounds like they have tried to pile as much loss onto this year and income onto next. Unless I’m mis reading that sounds like they hope to break even with next years accounts.

Correct me if i'm wrong. But i'm sure i read that FFP was suspended under the pandemic time or something? We are hardly the only club posting huge losses.

It’s not they just added an extra year for your accounts so it’s four year period of monitoring! They have reported though they are going to revamp it so owners can spend more now with how Covid has effected clubs...

I think UEFA are looking at it, and have decided it’s cancelled, except for those clubs operating at a loss of between £125M and £127M. Any such clubs will be heavily fined, banned from Europe for 5 years and all trophies won since 2011 retrospectively awarded to their closest geographical rivals (not necessarily the same City).

I think it’s a Gill initiative.

Just said as much on that thread. I really can't convince myself there is anything accidental about the timing of his sale. We knew he was going, he wasnt fearuring, there was absolutely no benefit to stretching out his sale, other than for perhaps accounting timing.

Yeah I get that. It's the fairest way.

It isn't. It is stretched over 4 years instead of 3 to allow more time to balance it out, but the limits are the same.

I bet that changes too when they finally work out the financial shit storm it’s caused some of the big European old guard.

It’s also a message......
