Harry Kane

There's no point wasting time with Kane. Levy is a wind-up merchant. He will demand too much money for a player who is fantastic, despite his injury record. But Levy will never sell to another PL club. We need to focus on a more realistic target like Haaland who, despite his agent, seems to want to come to City.

If we win the quad (still a big if) without a reckonised does Pep & Tixiki wait 12 months for Haalands release clause to kick in ?.

Delap is being promoted to the 1st team next season, will probably get treated the same way as Phil and likely play in the early rounds of the cup games. If he was to impress and score say 5 goals would we decide that we can get by without spending 100m+

It will be a case of who blinks 1st in the summer for Erling, pay 100m+ now or wait. They're will be constant rumours of where he is going. Transfer speculators will drag it out all summer.
If we win the quad AND he's a Man City fan, he'd quite frankly be daft to go anywhere else.

I love Kane so would defintely take him as he's quality... Just wish he was a bit faster, as we currently lack pace in the final third.

Levy sold Kyle Walker to City just 4 years ago. I think he could be convinced for the right price, which would probably be over 130m or so. I honestly don't want him though, I don't like his injury record. Just got a bad feeling about it (and I actually want Haaland so I'll admit my bias).

Levy has to pay heed to the realities of Spurs' financial position and a big fee for Kane may be tempting for a club which has a fantastic new stadium still empty 7 days a week. Especially if Kane wants to go. On the other hand selling Kane might not be popular with supporters.

Kane had a huge choice to make;

stay at spurs , maybe win a cup or 2 (and its a BIG maybe) and go down as a total spurs legend. Carry on being england skipper.
or
Leave for a team that challenges in all comps yearly, collect medals galore, and go down as a prem league legend and carry on being england skipper.

has he got the balls to make that decision??

Doesn't matter if we don't want him!!

I thought he made that decision a year ago or so by signing a new long term contract with spurs.

Whilst he’s undoubtedly a great striker now, given his age and injury record for what he’d cost I don’t think it would make much sense to sign him. If we did we’d be having to buy another top striker in about three years.

If we have the money for Kane then we must be able to afford Haaland who would be just as good and for much longer.

He’d be a great signing, but I know what you mean and it’s an important consideration. Doing business with anyone for their top players won’t be easy, but Levy is akin to Di Laurentis. Last thing we need is negotiations going down to the wire and Levy deciding at the 12th hour, he’d rather sell next year. And different to the Walker situation because he was pushing for a move and had been frozen out by Poch.

That's the thing, you don't know Haaland will be just as good as Kane is in the Premier League. Also we wouldn't have to buy a striker to replace Kane because he's 31, he doesn't rely on pace and has shown in his Tottenham role now that he can adapt his game and still thrive.

Think it comes down to weighing up Kane's risk of injury vs Haaland's risk of adapting.

Once again Kane shows his quality when it comes to finishing.

I am sure the anti Kane brigade will soon be on complaining about his injury record, age and the fact they hate him.

For me if we sign him, then the trophies will keep rolling in.

I’m gobsmacked people can’t see how brilliant he is, he’d break every record going if he played for us.

I'm pretty sure the trophies will keep rolling in no matter who we sign
