No high expectations here. I don’t think we’ll be up for It.

We’ll still win the League but the rags will narrow the gap.

Danger of a damp squib ending to a potentially historic season.

take everyday as it comes, city and united are playing their PL games on diferent dates/days now, so today could chuck something up with them droping points to Burnley, if they win they win then its move on to wednesday for us

Yes exactly, rags could lose today and people will still be flapping saying it's a must win game.

For what it's worth I think we'll win on Wednesday, they've been struggling since Grealish got injured and I think we'll bounce back with a good performance.
 
FFS.................... of course THIS is a must win game.

We have only just lost to a 10 man Leeds ,been knocked out of the FA Cup, and have a final next weekend, with PSG on the Wednesday following.

If you don't think winning Wednesday will have any bearing on those games then you need to give your head a big wobble.

We win Wednesday, it cheers every fucker up, players and fans alike.

Going in to another 2 big games with a bit of confidence,

We lose then the Nuts wont be just unwinding, there will be a real fear the Wheels are totally coming off.

So please stop saying losing to 10 man Leeds was cool because our lead was huge, and the shit show against Chelsea didn't matter, and losing to Villa will be no big deal reducing our lead to as little as 5 points, With Spurs weekend and PSG next week.

WE NEED TO FUCKING WIN.
 
I find I’m getting more grumpy not less about yesterday’s pathetic effort against Chelsea. Not helped by the steady flow of gloating Chelsea fans. I hope they get stuffed in the final and by Real Madrid. I think what I’m finding disturbing is the Villa game is now huge and we mustn’t trip up against spurs in next weeks final. I hear Kane is on the mend already unlike Kevin.Here’s hoping Burnley do us a favour later to take the pressure off a bit. But the Leeds and Chelsea performances seems to suggest we need our best team for pretty much most of the games now, if not all, and stop mucking about.
 
Interesting match coming up due to a few loses. The writing is on the wall for a few players. Mendy in particular is lucky we have no fans at present. Sterling contribution this season is diabolical. Both will hopefully be nowhere near this game. The warnings were clear and obvious against Leeds and only reinforced against Chelsea as we surrendered meekly. What is the point going for 4 when we do not have the squad? Wake up time needed. Focus on the league and Champions league.

The quad was never realistic due to our squad not being good enough. It’s no shame admitting otherwise. Rotate by all means but prioritise the 2 tournaments we ant to win and let the academy lads try for the other 2 imo.

It was good while it lasted but not realistic.

I totally agree with all that, we don't need to start feeling nervy about the league now, for all our sakes.

If there is one possible positive from yesterday it might be that Pep has now seen all the evidence he needs to realise that he should never play that double pivot which sucks the legs, energy and mobility from our midfield ever again.
Without at least one of Bernardo or Foden in the side the engine room is left ponderous, one-paced and passive. Especially when the front three play so badly that nothing sticks up there and the ball is coming straight back at them every time.
That set up yesterday was the same one that failed miserably and was ultimately discarded earlier in the season. Bizarre to see it make an unwelcome comeback yesterday
Wouldn’t count on it though.

This. It is a must win game.
 
Last year's FA cup exit was harder to accept than this one. We were well rested and had no PL trophy to play for but still got beat. Arsenal did play well in that match, certainly better than Chelsea last night. Pep will prioritize that CL SF mind you. He will field a weakened team against Spurs. There is no way he will chance starters in that match.
 
Can we please forget about that bloody European competition for now and get the two domestic titles sorted. Even if we somehow stop Neymar, Mbappe & co. from waltzing through our static defence, we would still need to overcome Chelsea or Real Madrid thereafter. It just ain't going to happen. Nothing wrong with the League & Carabao Cup double.

Do you live in London, or do you mean on other social media platforms, or radio phone ins? I’ve managed to avoid any Chelsea fans so far tbh.
