Think most on here acknowledge changes have to happen...but come on “8” . Every time he’s done this he’s ended up having to “risk” his rested players or keep someone on too long.
Kevs injury looked like one of those freak off the ball twists to be fair.
I’d much rather see big rotations be managed during a game, no one has yet come up with a explanation as to ...after all the bleating he did about numbers of subs allowed... he consistently fails to exploit his bench even when a game is slipping away.
Let's look at the 8. Steffen for Ederson is a separate discussion. Laporte for Stones did not weaken us. So that leaves Foden, Gundogan, Bernardo, Mahrez, Zinchenko, Walker. All of whom gave their life blood on Wed night. You saw KDB - he looked out on his feet. You think the others wouldnt have been the same? And you think that weary team would have just walked all over Chelsea so Pep could have the luxury of making subs after 60 mins? Maybe we would have scored a goal and the game goes to extra time and pens. Where does that leave us for the Villa game on Wed and the Carabou next weekend?

Sorry your logic doesn't make sense. You are sounding like that Star journalist in the press conference.

What happens if we don't win?
If we dont win against Villa.

Assuming the scum will win later against Burnley, the gap will be down to eight points, with the same number of games played. If Villa win on Wednesday the scum will have a game in hand against Leeds on Sunday where by if they win the gap will be five points.
(Worse case scenario) with five games to play

Chelsea played the same night as City but only changed 3 or 4 players!

Hmmm definitely must win then otherwise we've lost the league

If the rags win today as expected this is a must win game for me. Lose and they're eight points behind with a game in hand. We're suddenly looking jaded, it will be squeaky bum time!

Yep, a must win. We can always pick this up on Wednesday if you like bud. Love your relaxed approach, props to you.
I think you're missing the point sorry mate. I'm not saying it's not a big game and I'm far from relaxed (I'll be shitting bricks on Wednesday like I do for every game), but if we lose we can still afford to draw and lose another match and that's assuming the rags win all their games including Liverpool, Leeds away and Wolves away, hence it's simply not a must win.
