Its either this or no champions league
AND Premier league.
Premier league and 5 other leagues have a joint statement out that any teams participating in new league will not be participating in domestic leagues and cups.

But that would mean teams in the premier league have different objectives. Some teams will be desperate for the top 4 places but the ones in the super league wouldn’t be arsed as they are competing in a different tournament. Farce.

Football clubs are businesses and they look out for their own interests, as City does, as all clubs do. I just don't think it makes them total scum, bastards etc. My mistake for thinking we could have an adult difference of opinion I guess.

No, it's a massive difference between thinking a threat is an already accepted consequence.

A lot of posters are under the impression the super league teams will be kicked out and have their super league and that's that. The reality is that unrealistic, maybe unenforceable threats are being made in an attempt to prop up the CL instead of the new competition.

Hope it happens. Enough is enough.
That said European football is crawling with these clubs reps in positions of power. So I take comments like this with a pinch of salt

Every single club/football team, from the ones at the top of the tree, to the once a month walking football, and not forgetting the under 4s, they all have their fans/mates/mother’s and father’s screaming about how that player or this player, can’t run, can’t dribble, can’t header, can’t shoot, can’t pass, can’t tackle, it’s just football!
