I know everyone's emotional but at least read the statement before discussing it.

The new annual tournament will provide significantly greater economic growth and support for European football via a long-term commitment to uncapped solidarity payments which will grow in line with league revenues. These solidarity payments will be substantially higher than those generated by the current European competition and are expected to be in excess of €10 billion during the course of the initial commitment period of the Clubs.

they do have solidarity plans. What we need to see is how these actually stack up to the current system.

To be honest all in all this proposal seems very similar to the proposal UEFA are supposed to be unveiling tomorrow. Just fewer teams and only 5 spots for qualifying. Which is shit, but not that different from UEFAs idea.

I suspect UEFAs plan being so anticompetitve is part of the reason why these clubs have felt they can announce their plan.
UEFA is forced to unveil this stupid shit because of the pressure from the top clubs who dont want to compete and want their place held forever. No one will worry about the new competition if it was based on merit...but it is not. what do you say to that?

Hahaha fucking AC Milan, a club that has done fuck all for a decade. Criticised money in football when we got bought and pursued Kaka, FFP was brought in, then they wanted that relaxed when they got new owner.

But don't worry lads & ladies, they've got 39 year old Zlatan Ibrahimovic up front and United reject Diogo Dalot at right back.

Don't even get me started on Spurs not won a league for 60 years or Arsenal sat in the bottom half just last week.

European 'Super' League

Fuck off!

Leicester and West Ham would give us harder games than those 3 at the moment!

This is the truth and why the super duper league is now created. The cartel fear competition and I suppose we agree. Fucking. Corrupt cunts the lot of them.

IF City and the PL 6 teams get in AND get to stay in the Premier League, they would be absolutely MINTED. Would make the league very strong, especially those 6.

I can't see the PL actually excluding them, they will back down.

Over the next few days/weeks they'll be a lot of huffing and puffing from FIFA,UEFA and the leagues there teams are from but money talks and they will back down or come to an agreement with these clubs. This will happen and the most important part of clubs(the fans) have had absolutely no input
No doubt they will come to some kind of agreement. Like you said money talks and eufa/fifa is even more greedy

Reading it looks like other clubs can qualify for it don’t know how but it says five clubs can qualify if that’s five clubs across Europe it be like one per top leagues.. what will happen in the league now is won’t matter where you finish as long as you ain’t relegated those teams can play 11 youth players if they want! Of and the premier league hasn’t the bottle to kick out those clubs either!

City will be also ran in this competition along with Spurs, Arsenal and United if they continue being clueless.

Khaldoon isn't clueless. We know that. And they're not in competitions to be also-rans.

Let's wait until the smoke has cleared before we jump in too deep. There's a long way to go and a lot of info to come out yet.

We are getting kicked out of Europe for a second time this season. At least we won't have to rest players against spurs for the psg game now.
PSG would be the winners with no more games then as the other 3 semi-finalists have all signed up to this new one. So unless they reinstate some knocked out teams, the competition is over. Can't see their sponsors being happy with that!
