there are 6 english clubs on 12 rebels. If u guys manage to break this in uk , all this superleague bs disapears. Just say no we wont pay. Dont write ur owners, they dont give a crap. Write your tv providers. Tell sky or bt : we wont pay. Please england, save us all

Doubt Sky or BT will be in favour of it. It would probably not be them with the rights to it unless hey shelled out a lot more than they are currently doing. The Super League may well already have a deal in place for broadcasting rights.

why would be result irrelevant?

Winning super league will have higher prestige soon than current CL given you win against mostly best clubs of the continent who are all very rich/quality.

CL is huge because of clubs like Bayern, Real, Barca etc.

Without them CL will be Besiktas/Sahtar/Basel ec which is basically EL level when it comes to KO stages.
The same 5 countries is just boring.

It’s fun going to Lisbon, Porto, Vienna, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Budapest, Prague, Bucharest, Istanbul, Moscow, Glasgow, Zagreb etc etc.

It’s what European football is about.

This is just corporate greed.

Prime Minister has got involved.

Said earlier this might cause a huge shit storm because of the serious ramifications for English Football.

I agree with the senitments but the national team is mostly made up from the players who are forming the Super League and watching them was tedious. Boris is powerless to stop it.

I think this is a bad idea but it's kind of nice to see UEFA squirming. Hopefully it plays out in City's favor (somehow)
must admit i have had a bit of a chuckle at UEFA,wonder if this SL nonsense would have had more support during the investigations i think it would have done

Probably would have had more support if our ban hadn't been overturned but I think most would be against the unfairness of automatic qualification for 12/15 clubs anyway.

Wise up ffs. Our best player who has been negotiating a new contract for a year, signs up a few days before a multi-billion pound super League deal is signed and you think he found out from Bryan Swanson on sky sports. Lmao.
If he had been informed about a new competition about to be announced (but don't tell anyone because it's top secret), surely he'd be telling his advisor to wait for the details and the potential issues and fallout. No? Or did he just say sod it, I'll sign up to whatever.

So hypothetically does this sort itself out if the 6 founding clubs make a deal the Premier League that the places in the Super League each season go to the clubs finishing in the top domestic places (for instance top 4 plus the two domestic cup winners).

Likely to be the only way the Premier League would agree.

Other countries founding teams make their own domestic deals.

UEFA and associated corruption cut out of the deal.

Founding teams retain Super League voting rights.

Competion expandable globally to clubs outwith Europe if founding teams agree.

Just a thought.

I’m trying to convince myself that I’ll be ok. I love cricket more as a sport than football, but love City more than Lancashire.

Football’s a dear do, so could save me a packet and reignite my support of Lancashire.

Not this 20/20 stuff or hundred bollocks mind.
Like a punch to the gut, innit.

Rugby? F1? NFL? Guess I'd better choose.

He had a duty to try. The PL is one of this countries biggest and best exports.

The founding members have their places guaranteed - there is effectively very little for the other PL teams to play for.

You know its a bit strange but I don't think I've seen any current players come out for or against this today. Did I miss something? What's up with that?

yes i hear amazon dazn etc. Dazn already has issues with serie a. This is a real takeover by usa on europe s football.

They make more money if they play for an SL club, or if they might get or believe they’ll have a chance to join one. No one who makes more money with a Super League will say boo.
