Speaking to BBC Radio Manchester, Kevin Parker, general secretary of the OSC, added: "Either these clubs didn’t think they would get this reaction, so they don’t know us, or they did know and they didn’t care.”

They didn't care
Yep. Neither one of those is really good for a club that "cares about it's community and fans". If I'm honest you could look at the development of east Manchester after all this and think it was all to make it more appealing to tourists and investors etc. It gets darker the more you think about it.

They call us "Legacy fans", eh?

Beggars belief that City have joined such an elite bunch of snobs, jettisoning the very moral fiber, history and tradition that defined the club.

These cunts have tried to bin us off for years and now we rush to jump into bed with them. Some of you non-Legacy fans may celebrate, but after four generations of deep family support, I'm not giving my support to Manchester Bluenited. I support City, but this isn't City anymore.

Seemingly it's not a done deal and may not happen. Read that in the comic that masquerades as a paper up here.

Its going to happen. Clubs do not leave The ECA and chairmen and executives don't resign from their roles within UEFA for the sake of it. The Leagues, FIFA & UFEA will buckle and the 12 clubs will get their way

The only other thing I would say is that when the Premier League started, people were saying that would destroy English Football but that didn't exactly happen.
It still had a merit basis and promotion/relegation. Imagine how stale it would have been if we still had;

Even with PL money for 30 years most of those teams would no longer be a functional part of the league. 1 no longer exists. Look at the clubs missing from that list and the moments they've given us down the years.

The irony is that back in the 90s I supported the idea of a super league, longed for the rags and dippers to play the European elite and stop distorting the football league. It would have given ourselves, Leeds, Villa and Newcastle a chance to win silverware while I think the so called big five would have become an irrelevance. Strongly believe any club that joins a super league should be banned from domestic competition. In my old mm age rarely get to the Etihad , superior league and rarely becomes never. Will continue to enjoy real footy at Fleetwood.

This feels like a similar situation to when club rugby in Wales went to regions. It's done nothing except alienate a lot of people away from the club game.

I totally understand why City might feel they need to be in, rather than out and they say that change is inevitable, but this just feels wrong.

Legacy is just a term used in the corporate world. It's not to imply anything negative. It just a Pre-X-Event grouping.

your posts on this topic have been excellent, and honest.

if you continue to watch the games and follow the format, good luck to you. i hope it crashes and burns and becomes and laughing stock. I now realise that i've wanted this for 15 years.

I actually want the whole of football to crash and burn in order to come up with a way in which European participation doesn't totally fuck financial parity in domestic leagues and we have genuine competition again. But it seems like a pipe dream at this point and if football is to be broken then I'd prefer it to be broken in our favour rather than us being stood on the outside.

This happens with or without us so we can take a moral but ultimately fruitless stand and get left behind or we can go along with it and maintain ourselves as one of the world's major clubs. Once they set the wheels in motion there wasn't too much of a decision for us to make in my opinion.

Again though, there's lots of details that are unclear and I'd like to see their detailed proposals before jumping on the bandwagon. But I'm not totally against it as a proposal as some are.

It's hard to see how a super league would be financially viable long term? Sure it would make a splash for a season or 2 and they might have some super sponsors lined up but only 12 teams - so 22 games a season?? (presuming the national leagues boot the 12 clubs from domestic competitions). If nobody is interested in watching (which I think we can safely say from all the comments online they ain't) then TV money will go away, sponsers will go away... it's a dead league

If FIFA really do ban players from those 12 from playing in the World Cup then we are going to see top players leaving in droves - only the older (last payday types) will stick around and no up and coming talent will want to move to a SL club...
It's 20 teams. 15 founder members and 5 that qualify through "merit".

Anyone else reading all the arguments and completely fucking torn?

I'd watch City play anyone as I support City. I would much rather have things stay the same but at the same time, the SL is going to happen with or without City so I would much rather that it happened with City. This does not mean that I am for a SL nor that I am happy about it. It feels like City have been stuck between a rock and a hard place and the management have decided that joining is the somewhat lesser evil. It would be financial suicide to decline the invoite IF the SL is happening. We'd lose our best players and the club's value would plummet through the floor.

Yes I feel shite for the Leicesters, Burnley and Wolves et al, but when those cunts were sending letters to CAS to try and get us fucked out of the CL, how much emotional energy did their supporters spend on me, or you or City as a whole?

The whole situation is shite and it's been pushed by owners that don't give a fuck but 18 months ago I was in areement with many City fans that should UEFA ban City from the CL then we should set up our own lucrative tournament and fuck UEFA off. Well it seems like that's happening.

Also I find the attacks on our owner and fans who have voted yes rather abhorrent. Suggesting "Fuck you Mansour..." as the banner isn't a great look.
Good point about the clubs against us with CAS, also it’s a fuck your to the dinosaur that is uefa but it’s still not what I want, I’d rather not be in any European competitions at all, it’s all about domestic stuff for me and there’s a good chance that could disappear. If Manchester can’t supply the fans then the franchise could move elsewhere Beijing City anyone.

This league will grow and grow until they all resign from the PL. It’ll end up being the only league they play in and it’ll have its own knock out cup etc.
