I grew up wanting us to win the first division and European cup. That then changed to PL and CL. Football still survived.
Why? Who gives a monkeys any more? I've had a ticket at this club for 47 years and I feel utterly utterly let down that we're even a part of it. We're tarnished, and now no better than that lot over the city. The season has now fallen completely flat for me. Count me outYou should be ashamed of yourself
If the English clubs stay, then the TV rights would be similar and the SL will just replace the CL.
Could well be right, VAR decision quickly turns into a 10 second ad slot for budweiser etc etc
Do you think that every single decision/idea is some kind of ploy against us? Literally everything you post is as though everything is anti City. Your club is invited to a league formed from other super clubs from our nation and others. One of the elite. And all you can think about is how it is going to be another plot to topple us?
Really weird.
This is the biggest obstacle to stopping it if the national associations and UEFA stand firm on banning clubs imo.Don't they need 20 teams for their format of two groups of 10?
As it stands they are 8 shy. I hope everyone who wasn't asked originally fucks them off if they come crawling.
All this is because utd and liverpool are in debt and their nobhead American owners are fat greedy fuckers who think they are the top dogs.
Am absolutely seething that these cunts one way or another have ruined the English game and they've made every other **** jump into bed with them.
It was last October these rumours first surfaced and utd and liverpools names was the frontrunner of this new league forming.
I hate these red mardarse cunts a million times more than I did yesterday, they have ruined the beautiful game for each and everyone of us and if, and it's a big if, if it all goes tits up and it doesn't form then these two shithouse clubs need fucking from every angle.
Because people will still watch those games just as they now watch both the PL and CL. I would expect us to try and win both. Why ? I wouldnt be interested in watching a second string liverpool taken on a second string City or Utd . When in the super league I could watch a full strength liverpool play a full strength City.
Not that I would be watching anyway
We'll see about that.Very few clubs, if any, of those who have joined will have any trouble filling the away end for every ESL game.
No, but they weren't embarrassed when we could overtake clubs who, at that point, were bigger than us because we could go out and buy whoever we wanted, throwing money at it for fun to get us in a position where we could compete, and now dominate?
I'm not just saying this now because of this announcement, but I have always wondered if the investment was how it looked from the outside, or if there was a more long-term plan. I think this is that. The SL plan has been rumoured for ages. Do you think Sheikh Mansour would not have been looking into this for a long term plan for his investment? I do.
People can't be happy at someone coming in and doing what he has done, completely wiping out the competition for the majority of honours in the process, then say they are embarrassed when we join a competition for the clubs we have wanted to be - the giants of the game in other words. One leads from the other, and for me personally I think this is what the plan was all along. It is extremely hypocritical to be ok with the first part, but then not want the second part. Can you imagine what fans of other clubs would say if fans of our club start harping on about turning their back on the club, after a decade of feasting on the fruits of the Sheikh's investment?how can you say its
There is nothing wrong with having an owner who can provide a huge amount of money to boost a club to the next level providing there is a completion. Again I repeat the issue is that we are basically saying we are entitled bellends and now we have got to this level we should close the door to other teams who dream of having what happened to us, happen to them. No, but they weren't embarrassed when we could overtake clubs who, at that point, were bigger than us because we could go out and buy whoever we wanted, throwing money at it for fun to get us in a position where we could compete, and now dominate?

New 36 team, league-based CL coming soon.
Bobby's not a well man, think he's got dementia so doubt we'll see him again.I read this morning that Sir Red Nose said he wasnt party to the decision. I thought he was a Director of United.
This decision must have been taken at Board level and must have been ratified by a Board vote.
I can only conclude 1. He’s lying or 2. He wasnt at the board meeting and they had a quorum sufficient to carry the vote.
It is entirely possible the owners only invited enough Directors to the meeting to form a quorum and didn’t invite those they thought would oppose the Vote.
I now expect he will do the honourable thing and resign. Btw, where’s his mate Bobby Charlton. Isn‘t he also a Director? He’s been very quiet.

Imagine the first year in they invite Lazio, Lyon, Everton, Wolfsburg and Ajax to be the first of the 5 rotating teams and it's a scenario where all 5 clubs know that they might only have a year in the ESL but they'll get a lengthy ban from their domestic leagues and UEFA comps, say 10 years? None will join and they won't have their 20 teams. There's nothing to lose financially for the 15 permanent members but there's an awful lot to lose potentially for the 5 temporary ones, they'll be gambling with the very existence of their clubs.
That is a real shame and I am genuinely sorry to hear that.Bobby's not a well man, think he's got dementia so doubt we'll see him again.
That'll be Spurs.Board members at some of the clubs involved oppose it.
One PL club willing to be kicked out as this is too big to turn down.
I wonder if @Ric will start a forum for Manchester City fans soon.
