Supporting City since 67 - don’t think the Club had an option but to follow into the Super League. You can have all the morals in the world but in terms of being a business - no other option I am afraid.
No there were eight quarter finalistsSorry I'm confused, PSG go through, Dortmund and Porto go through by default. Neither Dipps or Real go through as they both signed, so play off between the two teams that they beat in the first KO round for the 4th place?
giving us blue ketchup with chips is not far behind thoughBeen going since 1964, season ticket holder since 1976 and this is the most disappointing decision the club have ever made( including some dodgy signings). If it is not reversed considering the club statement that said they will consider supporters and stakeholders then it will be the death knoll for me and many others.
And now we're banned, the other 11 rejoin UEFA. Crafty bastards. So, after all that messing around the last 2 years, we actually are banned from uefa chumps league? :D
YepThis is going to be fun with neville & carragher about to speak on MNF
This the same man that told you we weren’t interested in Haaland?Word is from my man.
Pep is seriously unimpressed with this, City were pushed into it, the club panicked as the others had signed up.

When could Spitty last speak? This is going to be fun with neville & carragher about to speak on MNF
He's the one who's going to be wading knee deep through this shit for the remainder of the season.Word is from my man.

Although Sky playing the moral high ground is laughable when they sent the game on this path in the 90s
And to your last point, given that the US is already so influential in culture/entertainment in terms of music, cinema etc, I guess fans in Asia could easily get on board with a US-ified version of football. That's a good story!
Liga MX is trying to connect with MLS in some ways I'm not sure I understand but the leagues are friendly with one another. Many ex-Liga MX players in the MLS and some vice-versa; Chivas actually once had a franchise club in LA that folded (now replaced in the region by LAFC along with the Galaxy).
I do think you're right though that Asia just given its sheer population size and general growth rate is the biggest potential long-term future SL market, with the US as a more lucrative per-fan intermediate step.
Does it? If only one of the remaining 5 places goes to an English team, which would seem likely, then it means a 1/14 chance of qualifying rather than a 4/20 chance that exists in the CL today.Assuming one of the 5 “merit” places goes to the PL, it actually gives those 14 clubs a far far greater chance than they have present in the PL to qualify for the CL no?
But no one is really getting booted out on Friday although I do expect some tough decisions next week in the game.No there were eight quarter finalists
City, Chelsea, Real Madrid - Won their games, signed up for Super league... booted out
PSG - Won their game, didn't sign up... stay in
Dortmund, Porto, Bayern Munich - Lost their games, didn't sign up... reinstated
Liverpool - Lost their game, did sign up... stay booted out
Your first point is 100% incorrect. Everton West Ham & Leicester could finish top 4. Potentially no Liverpool, Arsenal or Spurs in next seasons CL, so how is that a closed shop? We've just bankrolled our way to a decade of champions League football, so we are already in that closed shop group as far as we are concerned. Yes others can have a fluke season, but if you spend your way to having consistent seasons in that competition, you're in that closed group with the other elite Mob.
When we were a mid table yo yo club that was my dream, even just to have one season in it, like Everton, who didn't even get through the qualifiers.
I also dreamt one day we'd have an Abramovich who would bank roll us to success. He's done that, has our Sheikh. And I tell you what, I won't walk away now just because he's pushing us to a competition that is purely for those Elite clubs.
Fuck. That.
My club.
Course he’s wrong. He’s been happy for City to be oil propelled up to now.
Some people are behaving like some tart flashed her tits at them and then said no.
Total over-reaction, as is any suggestion we may not have a team at all.
Exactly. Just weather it out. People will continue to buy season tickets. People will continue to go to games. Even better, the overseas fans will still watch on telly.Im sure the founder clubs of the ESL foresaw the issues and posturing that their decision would generate so will just weather the storm.
Really?
