We had no choice but to join according to some on here but we pulled out of it pretty damn quickly when the club realised they'd made a monumental fuck up.

The hierarchy of our club thought it was acceptable to sit round the table to discuss the idea of the ESL with the very people who have systematically tried to destroy us over the last few years.

There is no positive PR for any of the clubs involved here, if you see it, its reflected internally from partisan sources. The only positive it what may occur due to this attempted coup.

3 days ago 1 club, Manchester City, had absolutely no power in Europe. Now we have a little bit more and 11 others are now in the same boat as us.
Was it intended? The end result certainly makes it look like it is.
In effect, it's the ending to the Godfather and Godfather II films.

Bollocks, we have right royally F%%ed Up and if that's the case, what about the RAGS? The Glaziers are done, they will have new owners in a few months, it could just be what the rag fans have wanted, so it could also be good for them, the same applies to the scousers.

Anybody who thinks we’ve played a blinder in all of this is just trying to paper over the poor lack of judgement by the club IMO - in hindsight, imagine we were sat here today and it was 11 clubs instead of 12 because City had refused to join. It would have been the biggest step forward in the press for our ownership since it happened in 2008. The club made a big mistake, it’s been rectified, but we are in the same boat as the other 5 PL clubs on this one.

I think you are wrong. PSG didn't join - how most people even on here painted it? "They need WC, they will join later" or "not even invited".

We wouldn't get great press when they would say we were left out. Now we look almost innocent - joined last, never liked the idea but feared to be left out, and destroyed it from inside leading exit. Even UEFA welcomed us back publicly.

I would not go that far to say we had it planned for 3 years, and 5D chess etc. but given cards we had in our hand we played it really well. IF the idea did materialise we would be inside it, it was easy to kill fast when we decided, UEFA cleared from some characters, and got far more good or neutral press than we would get if we did not join from the start.

"Lack od judgment"? Maybe. But if you put enotions aside, and think as businessman, they could make much worse choices from start to finish, and could get worse outcomes for the club. I think they played it briliantly even if I don't think we had it all planned for some time as others may suggest.

Did you think it would all come for free? Those players, the stadium redesign, the managers before Pep, and the ultimate man at the helm himself?
We aren't the City all nicey nice a Maine Road and haven't been since 2008. None of this will have been thought about though when those trophies kept rolling in and we got to a place where we can place arguably one of the best players in the world on a £400k a week contract.

Some seriously poor decisions made in terms of the fans, especially from Ferran, I said yesterday, I simply don't think he like the yanks understands what this club is about and the passion and rivalry of English clubs.

His baby is the CFG, not MCFC, let him go and run the CFG but get someone as CEO who understands MCFC.

Haha spoken as a fan of a popular club in the media who has no worries about PR. You really have absolutely no idea what it’s like to be a Manchester City fan
