Ref Watch

Odd performance from the ref. He either couldn't hear his liners talking to him through his ear piece or someone else was as he was constantly holding his ear. Thought the free kick that led to the goal wasn't, free kick he gave to Zinchenko wasn't, ignored pushing in the box, throw in at the end when Gundo quite clearly fouled nobody knew what he was doing etc. I am all for allowing advantage and then pulling it back if there is none but on a number of times he blew when quite obvious fouls had occurred and there wasn't any advantage. Also where did 4 minutes of injury time come from in the first half because it certainly wasn't for an injury and the VAR stoppage. Very odd all game.

Kept telling the players to “MOVE!” when he wanted to walk somewhere,

although not as bad as Mings constantly telling his teammates to “fuck off” all the time!

Dean Smith said he thought Stone's red card was harsh and it should of been a yellow, he said it always looks worse on slow motion and he ripped into Cash say his red card was deserved and it was stupid.

An opposition manager defending our player. The worlds gone fucking mad I tell ya!!
The differences between a yellow and a red and the differences between reckless, clumsy, didn’t actually mean it, could have been worse, still on his feet... and dangerous, intended, violent, off his feet, out of control.

If I were the ref I’d have booked Stones, I thought it was reckless but he was still on his feet.

He did mate. But once he gets told to go have a look he’s always going to change his mind (as he’s basically been told he got it wrong). There wasn’t any intent and I hope Ramsey is ok.

They certainly seem to stand in our passing lanes quite a lot.
Their obvious defence would be that we make a hell of a lot of passes in the congested final third so ref obstruction is more likely to be an issue for us but even so it happens way too often.

We could do with still having NDJ here to “accidentally” wipe one of em out if they get in the way

What annoyed me most last night was Gundo’s booking. Our captain was trying to speak to the arrogant twat who basically ignored him and walked away, Gundo touched his arm to get his attention, twice and gets a yellow for it. If the ref was doing his job he would allow our captain to ask a question and respond with an appropriate answer, not swan about like an officious little prick

I’ve watched the worst performance by an official I’ve ever seen at a girls under 13 game this afternoon. Seems that we have a problem with the officials at all levels. He was shocking and made that many mistakes he was told by both coaches that he needs to be looking at finding another thing to do on a Saturday at the end of a game.

Bravo! That's the sort of encouragement young referees need. No wonder they are leaving the game in droves.

Of course these will be the same two coaches moaning when games get called off when there is not a ref available. What a pathetic example to set to the kids.

Just watched Chris Kavanagh make a fucking shocking decision following VAR intervention and then watching a replay of the incident in the West Ham v Chelsea game.

West Ham player shown red when just following through a clearance and catching thr Chelsea plater.

If the useless twats can still get those kind of decisions wrong, there really is no fucking hope for the game.

A lot of these kind of decisions are being made because the ref who goes to the monitor only sees a slowed down replay of the event. sometimes an almost frame-by frame view and it makes it look a lot worse than it usually is. He should also watch it in real-time to get the full context too.

He should watch it only in real time
