Trevor Kavanagh political editor of the Sun today reports that Johnson didn't let the bodies pile high he got on with sorting out Covid-19.........somebody needs to show Trevor the ONS figure of 150k dead

According to Sky news he's got emails,texts and phone recordings.

gives Johnson one hell of an uneasy month ahead - what does he do? Try and 2nd guess what he will say and get his excuses in 1st? Problem with that approach is when Cummings gives evidence you could be revealed as someone who spent a month digging your own bigger and bigger hole

He'll just not answer anything and talk about the next relaxation deadline.

It is a bizarre message to say "if there is something to reveal, it will be revealed". "If"?? It's obvious that they're hiding something or they could just answer it; unfortunately the previous whinging about Johnson finances make it completely implausible that they've stumped up out of their own pocket as source.

And until there's a standards advisor (appt by ABdP Johnson) there can't be a judgement on whether standards have been broken by ABdP Johnson.

I though Therese Coffey gave the best answer this morning, along the lines of "I don't know what the details are, I know what the Prime Minister has said". Much better than the heads coming out and not putting the first part in.

I know all these people are in his thrall and many of them also admired Trump but as they continue to lie and cover for him they need to look across the pond and see how being a Trump mouthpiece has rendered many of them unemployable - Allegra Stratton here gradually killing her future by lying for Johnson
