I agree. For me, Stones is our player of the season, but the first half against Villa was the worst he’s played this season. I’d have been slightly concerned if he started in a game of this importance, coming off a performance like that.

I would've picked Laporte based off of that performance.
But Pep has given John a confidence boost here, so let's hope he has a big game, we know he's capable of it.
