I've no doubts our interest is very real. He seems like a player who could thrive here.
It's the fee that I would question.

Yes we need a finisher......the amount of chances we waste is beyond a joke and in big games it culd come back to haunt us.

However there is no way that striker should eb Kane in my opinion.....overrated and a crock

I do find it strange that our main target is Haaland.....he is the finisher we require but is he able to play in a fluid system? - he seems more of a central striker who can also run the channel and who is a fantastic finisher. However maybe Pep thinkks he can convert him or maybe Pep is planning on changing the way we play.....

I did also say in a previous post about his ball retention being a quality....does he really bring othrs into play better than foden, kdb, jesus, gundogan or bernardo silva (marhrez can be greedy and not pass when he should and sterlign does lose the ball - but he is a dribbler so he will by design lose the ball more)
Agree on his work rate but baring Mahrez you could say that about our whole squad...esp the likes of sterling, bernardo foden, jesus and torres

As for other professionals lauding his character, I wouldnt use the judgement of the average premiership footballer to base an opinion on someone ...ever!

You make some good points, which is helpful to my thinking, and I’m with you re Kane.

My angle is that I’m baffled by the voracious calls for ’a big lad up front’ which is why I’m asking the question
I can’t see how players with the frame size of Lukaku or Haaland can ever fit into our system so would suppose that either we intend to change the system to accommodate a big ‘un or we polish up what’s already proving to be a winning formula for us, by bringing in a forward who can slot in, play the high press, keep and move the ball on a sixpence but add that bit of clinical finishing that seems to elude Jesus and especially Sterling this season.

I’ve got plenty of faith in the management so I’m not concerned about the situation, more interested in considering the possibilities.

Start blooding Cole Palmer for starters. He has already had a taster in the Carbao Cup and player apparantely Guardiola likes.
You don't start to blood a player who is as good as Grealish already.

Your posts on this thread leave no doubt your position, but you are now scraping the barrel to try and garner an argument and, imo, with this last claim, you failed miserably.
