Alexandole Boris de Pfeffel Johnson

My guess is most Conservative voters couldn't give a fuck about how incompetent or morally bankrupt their leader is.
I'm afraid supporters of a political philosophy built on self-interest are unlikely to have little concern about morality.

At its bluntist, half the population is vaccinated, only a few million have lost their jobs, and even fewer have been bereaved. Happy days.

Seems the Hartlepool voters quite like him.
Good old British deference in action.

Apart from the Johnson cultists, I do mot think he is particularly liked, but he did deliver Brexit and people are prepared to vote for him because of that.

It was a massive failure by Labour to not back Brexit, it was an even bigger mistake to put a Pro EU candidate in charge of the party and then put a Pro EU candidate up in the seat.

The Tories will say this is about the levelling up agenda, I do not think it is true, it is purely about Brexit and also about Labour becoming a party that is liberal minded and metro centric. The effect of the culture wars has also played a part. It is a triumph for the RW media and Tufton Street.

Expect to hear levelling up until you are sick to fucking death of it, because what will not be said, is it is the Tories who levelled it down in the first place.

Meanwhile we have that **** Johnson now firmly entrenched for perhaps a decade and the damage he will be able to do could be enormous. He does not give a fuck about places like Hartlepool, he gives a fuck about himself.

Tory K looking like she's been roughly shagged in a bush by Boris on BBC. I'm surprised she's not saying "Get The Fuck In!"

Boris is not as dumb as Starmer, Corbyn and his critics on here. Swathes of English voters forgive his lies and his clumsy demeanour in return for some character and hope amidst a cross party talent pool at an all time low . As if it cant get worse the old scouse stirrer Len McCluskey appears on the news to further steer labour towards forever chasing its tail.

We have a country full of morons and wind up merchants. It really is that simple. Just do me a favour, don't pretend to give a shit about people less off than yourself or corruption in government anymore. It's doing my fucking head in people pussy footing about, this country is shit.

I'll probably get more stick for saying that than when Johnson said "let the bodies pile up" because the right-wingers are fucking idiots. Every single one of them.

'Movin on Up' sounds better for a non educated Surf like me.

Of course moving on up sounds better.
Most people want to improve their living standards, prospects etc,and they always have done.
There is nothing wrong with striving for that.
The trouble with the Tory version is it always seems to come at a massive cost to society in some way.
The 1980s "boom" for instance fuelled by conflicts, selling off national assets, destroying traditional industries.
The people ultimately making the sacrifices for this self betterment are the likes of you and me.
Not the greedy arseholes calling the shots.

It won't be me making the sacrifices, it will be my grandchildren.

Like many the last year has been an eye opener, working throughout lock down ive seen a lot of hard working people getting on with it, they are not morons or con artists or" right wingers" this country is not shit it adapts and works, plays hard rather than act the victim 24/7 .

These people took us out of the EU. :(

Thats the mentality - they elected a Tory because "its time for a change." Seems nobody told them who has been in charge for the last 11 years. But they are not thick remember. Anyway I'll leave them to enjoy feeding and clothing their children out of their Baby Bank - something else to thank the Tories for.

this decline in labour support has gone on a lot longer then 11 years....

I always find it funny reading posts like yours - leave them to enjoy feeding and clothing their children out of a baby bank- are you saying that from your ivory tower?

your mocking a lot of people who have nothing already. Lots of people who have felt no benefit at all from the eu or successive governements.

your also saying majority Labour councils have played no part in this at all? Labour councils who often ignore their area, labour councils who lots of people describe as corrupt - green belt building. Or in the case of Rotherham and Rochdale woeful...

of the candidates I could choose from the only one from the area and who I’d describe as down to earth was a conservative.

plenty of reasons why people aren’t voting Labour. Condescending labour voters being one of them

You get what vote for. All these socialist voting Tory. Unbelievable. Time I sat back and enjoyed my retirement. I’m OK Jack, enough money coming in to keep me going, not going to be buying any Ferrari’s, but then again I don’t want one. Savings are picking up quite nicely now and as soon as NZ let me in we will be spending 4 months of the year there. So f..k em.

Unbelievable that the party that bring you, increases in food banks, increases in people on benefits, more child poverty, food for children in the holidays and the clowns vote them in.

What a load of sh1te you talk. These are the Labour councils who have purposely been starved of cash for years! All those Tory councils having massive cash injections - I live in one and they will waste it on building shops that will remain empty and a ‘special’ walkway from the train station that nobody uses and we have a bus system which is allowed to drive through the pedestrian town centre but you are prosecuted if you ride your push bike through. Total tossers. But as long as you keep out the immigrants and ‘get Brexit done’ you are fine.

it’s not a load of shite at all. The green belt being built on for unaffordable homes is a big problem in Stockport at the minute. Labour councillors in particular pushing for it.

your honestly telling me Rotherham and Rochdale councils have done a good job over the last 20 years? Was that all the governments fault?. You’ve got to be blind and deaf to think they have done well

Shops being empty is a wider problem then government and was going to happen either way.

what does immigration have to do with what I mentioned? You sound pretty angry that lots of ordinary people don’t think like you

by the way I’d happily have the Lib Dem’s in charge of the council rather then the conservatives, as they do a very good job locally
