Chelsea (H) | Post-Match Thread

I don't agree with the team he put out but ffs we'll still win the league.
The guys won us shit loads and got us in the champs league final not let us down.

He was also doing fucking fine seeing as he was on his own. He was not to blame at all. Sergio was all about himself. Cancelo has been a mard arse for weeks because he cannot get in the team. Also Mendy is a blanmange. Wobbly arse and should only be reeled out if everything is fine and dandy.
Cancelo was looking like our best player a few weeks back, now he looks very ordinary.

FOR SALE

Mendy
Sterling
Jesus
Laporte ? (bring in a “rapid” CB to stop counter attacks when we are dominating)
Ake ain’t gonna make it either

Different shape, system and even ball retention used (quicker) - especially in the final.

Walker, Zinch, stones, Ferna, Kdb, Gundo, Marhez, Foden surely will all start. I like/love the lads that started today, but today isnt a barometer of the final

Fern owes Mount

Pathetic by Rodri for the Chelsea equaliser. Caught in possession like that. Treating a penalty like that from Aguero. That performance was as unprofessional as it gets from all at City, team and backroom. Considering it would of ceiled the league. Probably get the league by default now when United fuck up. You play your best football when you have to win and you get in the groove like we did chasing down Liverpool game after game, no time for rest. All this resting just ends up with rustiness and a sense of who is first class and who is second class.
That’s just embarrassing! Going to win the league by default. Ffs!!!!!

Yes that would be the best thing to rest for twenty days before a cup final.

They will need to play during that time to be sharp for the final, now was the time to rest them and that is why both Pep and Tuchel both rested players today.
Rest them alternately not all have 20 days off ffs. 8 or 9 changes is too much for any team to cope with. Saying that I'm not concerned as the rags won't win all their games anyway

Fixed with what? All the injuries the team has had playing every 3 days?

also, you’ll note I said ‘if fit’
So it's unheard of that a player deemed to be fit for selection then goes on to do his hammy for example?

Picking the Champions League full strength side from here until the biggest game in the Club's history would be utter lunacy.

pretty much nail on head.

Pretty shite feeling to not get over the line, but means very little the league is won, one big game left. Galling as Chelsea were as good as beaten if Aguero stuck the pen away.

Mendy will never be good enough or fit enough.

whats negative about that to say it was bad management - its the truth that is all. the rest is just a alternative way of doing something...again not negative - just alternate

But carry on ignoring the issue that most are hear to talk about (thats football performances by the way just incase you were wondering)
I was referring to ALL of your posts on here (and Bluemoon generally) but you crack on pretending it's just your analysis.

Expected nothing else when I saw the team sheet, as idiotic and needless in both measures as you could be.

That said even more fuming with Sergio for that penalty, and having the cheek to moan at Raheem for taking the shot off him.

Logging off for tonight as I'm just angry and yet not in the least bit surprised either.

Sadly the writing was on the wall with today's ball lying firmly at Pep's feet. That is not to say we disrespect, but call out only what we see. Nil puffing by mouth and no knee jerky reactions, but honest to goodness this could have panned out so much more differently.

A bizarre line up in a bizarre game that should have seen us propelled forward unto to the highest echelons of football greatness and champions once more of England. Field your strongest squad and when the job's complete then afford game time to all and sundry. Anyway .. onward and upwards to eternal victory which most assuredly will come our way any time soon and maybe tomorrow if the gods be willing:

To conclude we forgive you, you Catalonian slap head and forgiveness in abundance to Aguero as a minor indiscretion in a lifetime of acheivement. To evaluate .. It's Just Another day In Paradise and we're certainly enjoying the ride.

Here's Phil to explain further ..

Bless Pep, bless our team and bless you Sergio Leonel Aguero del Castillo born in the year of our Lord 02/06/88.

Ok I’m done flapping for the day.

The league I’m not that concern with. Vey slim chance of us to lose that.

The CL, that’s my flapping for the next 20 days sorted

now my piss has cooled down i reckon with our first team out we we will beat chelsea no problem, they've scraped past us twice against our second team while being almost full strength, if we score the first goal i think we can control the game and marmalize em on the break, we virtually had no midfield today and still gave em a game

All I can say is.....

Aguero....

The audacity to have a go at Sterling for ensuring the ball was in the back of the net, and then ....... that!!!! I love Aguero, has been a hero for a decade. He should not wear a city shirt again this season. I want to cry at the level of arrogance, after everything.
I am struggling to understand what was actually going through Kun mind.

Great player, but his penalty technique has always been shit.

He has been lucky with a few.

As someone who has played a bit of football,i was always told if your penalty technique is not great. You dont go for the audacious,it is always hit low and hard to the corner every every time.

It felt like a selfish dont give a fuck, petulant kick.

Does he feel mistreated i wonder.

Razza definitely bailed him out also because he totally fucked up with that first touch. He seemed really narked.

Would not let him near the Final now sadly.

Strange and frustrating day. Not many made a case for working their way into Pep’s thoughts, Jesus was probably the best of the bunch.

The continued form of Raz, Torres, Cancelo a concern, Disappointing from Kun after the impetus of last weeks goal and Mendy once again showing he is a faint shadow of the player he once was.

The first 11 now picks itself with ease, just a case of managing them carefully over the next few weeks. Really don’t care whether we win it ourselves or the Rags fuck up, let’s just get it won and refocus on the final.
