Chelsea (H) | Post-Match Thread

Didn't realise today's game was the first leg of the CL final.
Many going for the old poker face 'don't show your hand' ploy. We will line up as we did against PSG. We will play a false 9 because we don't have a striker who could hit a cows arse with a banjo.
We will try and dominate possession. FFS its bleeding obvious what our strategy will be.

Err because when he try’s that it doesn’t always happen, seriously guys have you watched Sergio KDB Mahrez Sterling taking penalties for city, ffs this is hard work
Watch Franny Lee videos, hit the ball as hard as possible down the middle. If the keeper gets in the way he goes in the net with the ball.

From 12 yards out, the keeper should not be getting anywhere near the ball.

We try to give the benefit of the doubt, but some of these people must be trolling and it’s getting boring.

When I read the team news I had a feeling we would lose going off what we have seen against Leeds and Chelsea in the FA Cup final, but then to come on to the post match thread and say Tuchel knows how to beat Pep and we may aswell give them the trophy is fucking ridiculous.

The team that has played Chelsea twice and let's be honest had passengers in it, still give them a game.

Our team in the finals will be the same one that just smashed PSG And made them look average. The same team all these fans was saying they was so proud of a couple of days before.

The funny thing about today was if that penalty is scored before half time, the chances are we go on to beat them with our backup players.

Not sure but he needs to make a save to back it up having watched it again!
I was driving to the ground hoping to celebrate:( so haven’t seen their goals but shit happens, when the season started we were looking at missing out on top 4 the way we were playing

170 pages penalty miss, rotation of the team, could have won league today,Chelsea will have all the confidence for the champs final what a load of bollocks. We won the league weeks ago I don't give 2 facks about today it's gone I told you all weeks ago 80pts will win the league and only one team will reach that. Also our top players will be back for the final and today's game will be forgotten by all the flappers out there.

Gary linker you take a dink and score you look cool, Ian Wright city fans wont have a go at Sergio for that.

They fucking will Ian, they fucking will.

Zack Steffen on Ederson: "I would say yeah he is the best penalty taker at Man City because he kicks so damn hard – there's no way a keeper could react to it. He kicks so hard, so fast, it's insane. It's insane, nobody knows how he does it."

Still find it strange that Pep does not give him the job. Then again, still trust Pep 100% so assume he must have a good reason.
If the keeper saves the penalty and then gets the ball upfield quickly we would be in danger of losing a goal.

Don’t you get it peps playing mind games we will do these in the final big time

I agree, I'm not gonna lie i don't watch Chelsea every game but what I have seen against us hasn't impressed me, they didn't seem great at the back today we was opening them up without, Kev, Gundogan, Bernardo, Foden and Mahrez thats without Zinchenko and walker on the wings.

A) the keeper doesn’t go into the net with the ball

B) no shit Sherlock, can’t believe Sergio is the only player not to score a penalty, no great player ever missed a penalty, arf.

For some, football is the reward that didn't come after a week of hardship, emotional turmoil and disappointment.

For some, football is the reward that comes after experiencing the above and then feeling what it feels like to win.

When we lose it's hard to take because we know what it feels like to go through all of that. But more than that we know what it feels like to win.

When you win often. Weirdly enough it becomes harder to deal with the loss.

But when we do win, after we lose, that's when we are in a moment that you could only ever understand if you had felt any and all of this week in, week out, and felt what it's like to be so close to that feeling and not have it, only for it to be there. To win.

That's when it all pays off.

He treated it like a preseason friendly. He obviously had no intention of winning that today. It was purely to rest first team players. Hopefully for everyone at the club the gamble will pay off. We are now forced to play a strong side every game to see if we can get some rhythm and good enough form to beat this Chelsea team.
Maybe it will help to have to keep playing strong teams for every game.

Pep said that it can't be turned off and on and having to play to the maximum intensity for every game will help.
