Needs to play more games & for that reason I would send out on loan at Leeds or Wolves??

That’s not going to happen, the kid is a star of the Spanish international side, in his first season at city - He needs to be given (and will be given) time to settle at a new club and a new country, but the biggest change is learning what pep wants, it’s takes them all time to get there.

When this kid gets there he will be one of the first names on the team sheet.

He was yesterday asking Sterling, Cancelo, Mendy and Torres to make up the defensive shortcoming of that midfield, they weren't up to it.

That says to me our quality isn't quite as deep as those big names suggest.

Pep is challenging players to prove him wrong, show their ability to adapt.
Its not just down to quality only. Its about regular game time together as well and yeah u know it as well.

Mendy and Torres worry me big time, both miles away from our level. Wouldn’t mind losing both
Sterling and cancelo I’m sure will find form soon
Agree re the level of Torres and Mendy - but vastly different scenarios - Torres is young and needs to adapt and settle - he will come good but, Mendy unfortunately is struggling post injury and will never get back to former levels and one way or another needs to be moved on.

Mendy played well against palace, I don't think the system helped him on Saturday, however, I'm up for a new left back, I do think he isn't on the level we are at the minute,, not a bad player at all,

Agree he looked better in the system at Palace but his game was built on speed and power - when we signed him. He has been injured several times since he joined us and whilst he still a big strapping lad - his pace has gone and his positional sense and reading of the game just aren't good enough to get him out of difficult situations. I felt for the lad on Saturday - he had a torrid time.

No, if Grealish replaces Fernandinho, Haaland replaces Aguero, to bring in a third player somebody needs to leave to make room. We are at the maximum of 21 as far as I remember. One in one out.
Loads seem to get this wrong!!

We can have a squad of 25 players. All 25 can be HG, but as we have our full allocation of 17 foreign players, plus 4 HG, we can sign another 4 HG players without selling anyone.

CL rules
One difference in the fact that 4 of the HG players must’ve come through at your own academy

Good call.. maybe Norwich or Brighton too
No that's no good and never gonna happen. Pep would sooner sell Torres back to Spain to the top 3 La Liga teams than him sending a young Spanish international to a bunch of teams that go in and out of the PL. The man might not be a Spanish nationalist but he has to answer to the federation on his handling of a promising member of the national team.

Yes I would give Torres another year to get used to our system and change of lifestyle (yes I know Covid)

Mendy as got to go for me
Totally agree with Torres, the guy has had a difficult season in very testing times.

In saying that, he must show a lot more aggression on the pitch if he is going to be successful in England.

Mendy is done, and probably was a long time ago.

Seen some shit posted on here but you my friend are the fucking best with this

Cancelo is a frustrating player. At times during the season he was unstoppable. He went off the boil on international duty and has returned to being Crap. Such a shame because his passing and control in midfield was fantastic. We need him to step up again.

We’ve switched back to more traditional full backs over the past few weeks (since the derby at home maybe?) and he looks weaker for it. Cancelo was a revelation as an inverted fullback, but in the wide areas Walker is far superior.

Two months of form in two years is not good enough.

It must be a mentality problem. We have seen how good he can be but struggles to consistently produce week in week out. The only other issue might be rotation. He might be the type of player who needs a constant run in the team and does not handle being left out and put in

True, but except for possibly the odd exception, the squad will be built to the C/L rules so in that sense we are limited to 21. No homegrown player will sign being told they are ineligible for C/L, except maybe a keeper like Carson or previously Wright.
