holy shit..
He is just totally in control of the situation at all times. Not only is he supremely talented, he also seems to be half a yard sharper than everyone else, both in the head and on foot.

For years, it was give the ball to Yaya. Now, It's give the ball to Phil.

The Nijinsky of football. He just doesn't run - he glides.

Agree...its not just talent that counts but the ability to see the game much quicker than the opponent

Phil has that ability

We could argue this was his proper
Breakout season and he’s been superb. Only 20 years old which is frightening. I think another 12/18 months development and we’re looking at one of the best in the world

Hmm don't get me wrong but i find Foden quite moderate comparing to other players. He will definitely shine in the future.

Not comparing players but there are three routes to the top:
  • Stay and develop with your present club (e.g. Phil)
  • Move to a new club for more game time (e.g. Sancho)
  • Go out on loan(s) for game time and experience (e.g. Kane).
All are valid, depending on what suits the individual and circumstances. Not sure why some posters look down on players who’ve done it a different way. Especially someone who was willing to uproot and adapt to another country.

Obviously going to be an unpopular opinion on a Man City forum but I find these shouts for Young Player of the Year and/or Team of the Year very baffling. We can't overlook the fact that he has been on the bench for over half the season. Let's be fair here.

He's played over 3000 minutes this season, not sure what your expecting from a team that rotates more than any other team in Europe.

That seems plenty enough minutes over a season for people to ask if he should be part of any team of the year.

Does it? Over who? Mo Salah? Son? Grealish?

Let's be honest, we'd be raising our eyebrows if Rashford or Curtis Jones got in on only 15 starts and 12 goal contributions. And two league starts since the end of February. I love Phil, but that's not really fair.
