Return of Supporters

I'd agree on the majority of subjects but think this one has genuine reasons to be mindful of how gutted some long time blues are.
Give over, mate. How about the vast majority of "long time blues" who are gutted but aren't throwing their toys out of the pram and can take an obvious joke?

Christ. If that's what causes genuine offence these days, we really are fucked.

On reflection I’m not angry more disappointed.
Don’t claim to be the loyalist blue out there.
Had a season ticket as a teenager in the Kippax 1970’s. Then joined military so just a ticket as and when. Back to season ticket in the 90’s through to now.
Even left my refund money with the club last season.
But there are winners and losers in a lottery.

Looks like a typical city moment for me, snatching defeat from victory. Won the ballot but can't buy my tickets.:(

Interesting to see so many high points season card holders spewin for once. The sooner the points system is done away with and all loyal supporters young and old are on an even playing field in regular ballots the better. All season ticket holders should be in the mix for tickets for every match.
Yep fuck the Loyalty points and none of this online stuff either, lets get back to queuing outside the ticket office in pissing rain at 4 in the morning that'll sort us true fans out from the JCLs.

Most people missed out. Those with tickets will rejoice and tnose without demoan the process.

But what is blatantly obvious is just how disastrously the club have handed the comms. Clearly they had zero intention of communicating with those unsuccessful until the reaction on social media. Like with the ESL they are taken aback with the reaction.

There are some lovely and talented people at the club but the disconnect between them and fans is worrying and seemingly getting bigger by the week.

Fuck only knows what the CL final comms is going to look like.

None - maybe in corporate, but it states something like "food and drink available - no alcohol" on the FAQs
Yes there is alcohol in corporate, but don’t think the bar is open per say and no idea if the alcohol is limited to when you just have your meal

Three course plated dining
· Inclusive beer, house wine and soft drinks
· Half time and full-time refreshments

Bear in mind the email I received about the cup final say there would be no alcohol at Wembley but that ended up not being the case. So there could be a chance it is on sale.

Take it or leave it mate. You don't have to agree with my thinking.
It's not offence being caused that I'm arsed about, just don't think rubbing it into people's faces who are obviously pissed off helps even if it gets a few cheap laughs.
I wasn't in the ballot, had no intention of being there so not affected in any way shape or form. My comment was based solely on the reading of this thread and seeing how many have been left disappointed.

Nope, just ballots for all season ticket holders, pay on line if successful, simples. If Unsuccessful you can always revert to type and trot out the same tired old lines that “I was at Macclesfield” etc yawn . To be fair us oldies have more than been paid back for the “painful years”. This entitlement can’t go on for ever and isn’t fair on younger fans who haven’t necessarily had time to accumulate the same amount of points.

Totally agree with this point. There is a huge latent fan base of 10 - 25 yr old blues primed to make us the best supported club in the country. We have to find a way of getting them to matches so let’s expand the stadium let’s make tickets affordable for young working class lads and yes let’s tell the oldies that they’ve had a monopoly on things for a decade now and it’s time to make way for the next gen.

Which is fine if it all ballot fair for everyone as long as happy being in ballot for every game Southampton away on a Sunday for instance I'm all for it. But no for picking which game you'd like to be in the ballot for.
Also the return of the last 9 years or so loyalty tax would be appreciated.

Fook buying platinum anymore.
A big marketing error by the club this.
Fook buying a season ticket. Ill got membership and apply for big games and give Norwich on a Tuesday night a miss, and the early Carabao/FA cups/dead rubbers in Champions League. Going to save me a fortune this mess

Good luck with that because this is the first and probably only game citizens have had a decent crack at. So you go ahead.

and then on cold autumn winter mid week games in the Champs league and laegue cup for the early rounds
only two third of the stadium can be arsed to turn up at best, even with cheap tickets.

As someone with a pretty good amount of loyalty points, but less than the 22k required to guarantee a ticket, I have no problem with the ballot being pretty open and think it’s fair.

I was lucky enough to get a ticket in the ballot, but I don’t think it’s fair to grant absolute priority to those who attended for years and years (even if that might normally include me). Yes we get it, you went to Division Two away matches. But giving total priority to those who attended for years just means the same people are always at the front of the queue. Like it or not, we’re a different footballing prospect now. You shouldn’t get dibs on league winning, europe conquering football, just because you went to Gillingham (and yes I was there).

What I don’t get is loyalty points are spoken about as a quasi-socialist ethical right. It’s the complete opposite of ethical. I’m in my 20s, but I’m fortunate enough to have had a season ticket for many years with my dad. Lots of people my age weren’t that fortunate, and wouldn’t get any tickets in a loyalty system. Hell, I probably won’t stand a chance of UCL final tickets. But at least we don’t have a 10 year waiting list for season tickets and we can generally get to home games in usual times.

Edited to say: I also think the platinum cards are a total joke. Shouldn’t be a case where the more you spend, the more you get points. We have a working class fanbase and it’s a ridiculously unfair scheme

Just where's this latent fan base how many games do we sell out,( the ones everybody wants) hence further expansion of stadium put on hold. I agree it should be more affordable for working class folks more of us are but while players receive £350k a week hardly likely go much cheaper is it.

Why BP ???
For some reason my son is in my friends and family and was in my ballot application. I put the tickets in the basket but it won't let me check out my sons because his mebership number drops off when we get to check out. I've tried contacting customer services but looks like no ones there until Monday when the buying window will be passed.
