Yes they do.If Chelsea finish 5th and somehow beat us in the champions league final they don’t get in anyway, every cloud.

If Chelsea miss out in top 4, it will give them an even bigger incentive to win CL
Is it if Utd win the Europa league and Chelsea win the champions league but finish outside the top 4 , then 4th wouldnt qualify as no country's league is allowed more than 5 in the champions league ?Yes they do.
They changed that rule. But what happens if we win it, who gets the extra spot? And what happens if United win the EL, where do these extra Champions League slots go?If Chelsea finish 5th and somehow beat us in the champions league final they don’t get in anyway, every cloud.
Top 4 automatic into CL.Is it if Utd win the Europa league and Chelsea win the champions league but finish outside the top 4 , then 4th wouldnt qualify as no country's league is allowed more than 5 in the champions league ?
There is no extra spotThey changed that rule. But what happens if we win it, who gets the extra spot? And what happens if United win the EL, where do these extra Champions League slots go?
I've just had a great idea. How about the big six should qualify, including Spurs and Arsenal, regardless of where they finish ?Top 4 automatic into CL.
Winners of EL & CL also automatically into CL.
If CL & EL winners have already qualified, then only 4 Prem teams qualify, if anyone finishing outside top 4 wins CL or EL, we could have 5 or 6 teams qualify. So this year, we can only have 5 qualifying if Chelsea finish outside top 4 & win the CL.
Pretty certain that’s how it works nowadays, but have to admit I’ve not checked
Mr Levy like thisI've just had a great idea. How about the big six should qualify, including Spurs and Arsenal, regardless of where they finish ?
Sounds like a plan........
If Chelsea finish 5th and win the Euro cup 4th places misses out. Therefore we know it’ll be Leicester that will be finishing 5th to stop that situation becoming possible.
Of course they do.If Chelsea miss out in top 4, it will give them an even bigger incentive to win CL
Well explainedNo.
Top 4 go in for England.
CL winners go in, into pot 1.
EL winners go in, into pot 1.
If that somehow gets to 6 from a country ( both CL and EL winners finishing outside top4), then 4th in the league misses out.
It's irrelevant though as Utd will finish in the top 4.
Very well explained but why don't people know this.Well explained
There is, just read up, if Utd win then it’s the team finishing 3rd in the French league who will go straight into the CL group stage (as Utd are already qualified)There is no extra spot

Must admit, I thought there could be 6 teams if both CL & EL winners finished outside top 4. Didn’t realise it was capped at 5.Very well explained but why don't people know this.
Are they the same crew that think Delap should start in the Champions league final?
Ah gotcha. I misinterpreted you’re previous post fella. There is, just read up, if Utd win then it’s the team finishing 3rd in the French league who will go straight into the CL group stage (as Utd are already qualified)

Don’t you think Delap should be starting? ;)
You’re on fire tonight mate. Excellent knowledgeSimilar applies to countries with fewer automatic group places - a maximum of +1 place.
Ah gotcha. I misinterpreted you’re previous post fella.
To follow up on what you’ve just posted, I’m guessing that would mean one less team in qualifiers, so does somebody get a bye? Or does another team from a lower ranked country go into the qualifiers?
