Tbh people tend to resort to lazy arguments at times like this.

He did very poorly for the Brighton goal, and football fans aren't the most forgiving.

Unfortunately what people need to realise is that really our game v Chelsea won't be won or lost in DM. Rodri had a bad moment against them in the league, and Fernandinho played poorly against them in the cup. But they're both obviously very good. Either we're doomed regardless or fine regardless.
 
Poor performance tonight, gets caught in possession too easily and at fault for the first goal. Dhino will hopefully be playing in the CL.
 
His fanboys will be along any minute now with a handful of stats to try claim he’s not a brain dead fucking idiot who bottles it when a player doesn’t allow him 5 minutes to pass it sideways.

I hope we sell him this Summer. Bissouma and Zakaria have mauled him and we should be looking to bring either in to play the role.

It's a miracle we've done as well as we have considering Rodri has played the most games out of anyone this season, right?
 
Keeping the ball for far too long has been creeping back into his game in recent weeks. He seems to try and play for the foul in ridiculous areas. There is no need to go back as often as he does. Think that game made peps final team selection a bit easier.
 
He's such a strange player because at times he will shield the ball and play his way out of trouble with ease and then at other times he either dwells on the ball too long or gives it away with a stray pass.
 
Rodri should be nowhere near the Cl final team. He’s too slow, can’t turn quickly and he has a habit of passing straight to an opposition player in the final third.

Rodri is a top player but he is getting caught in possession too much at the moment and needs to cut that out. He's a big string lad and must make sure he protects the ball if he gets put in a difficult position and / or forces a foul from his opponents. I'd lock him in a room with a Didi Hamann highlight reel.

Foden's goal tonight took the wind out of Brighton's sails but Rodri gave them a hurricane force boost with his woeful error, he wasn't even under much pressure on this occasion.
 
One mistake like this in CL final can cost us the CL trophy.

If Brighton punishes a mistake like like this you can bet Tuchel's Chelsea will do the same or more damage.

It says Pep preferred Dinho for that specific game because of the position we were in. We are playing Chelsea, Pep can choose to play the team that started today +/- Cancelo and play the way we did from Jan. or play Dinho and let Chelsea take the initiative as they did in the FA. Cup because we are not swamping midfield.
