I never said refused. I said if they refuse a free vaccine then expect others to then pay for their mistake in not taking it up, that is wrong. They get treated but they pay. It would change a few minds for sure.
People pay all ready though national insurance

im not anti vac as I had the jab but totally get why people don’t want it

No need to panic, but clearly sterner messages are needed in these areas and communities. People need to self isolate for a start and stop mixing. And secondly if you want to encorage vaccine take up the government should make it crystal clear that if you have declined the vaccine you should be expected to pick up your own hospital care bill if you then catch covid and get seriously ill. Take up of the vaccine would incease dramatically then. These people are selfish beyond belief.
Everyone will Always be treated at the nhs what you do is say to go in restaurant pubs a holiday you need the vaccine

The vaccine doesn’t stop you getting covid if meant to cut down the chances of Getting it bad
Correct but it does reduce your chances of catching it, it reduces the chances of you passing it on and more importantly it significantly reduces your chnces of your getting seriously ill requiring hospital treatment and dying.

If people dont want it then ok. But they should not expect me to pay for their stupidity as it affects us all. If restrictions dont ease on June 21st then its these selfish people in Bolton and elsewhere that are to blame. Lets not beat arround the bush. The penny needs tp drop and these people need to realise that they cannot just do as they please and ignore the self isolation rules and also expect to get free treatment when they declined a free vaccine.

you are right, this government infact any UK government isnt strong enough to implement such measures even if it meant bringing the outbreaks under control much sooner.

Nowhere in GM had a particularly good day today. Not even Stockport. But no real disasters.

Most are up week to week. But nowhere aside from Bolton and Manchester (up to 68) day to day by any great amount.

No boroughs in single figures today.

Wigan and Bury stay on same high numbers as yesterday. Trafford down but still on 20.

Oldham was well up on 22. Matching the Zoe prediction.

Salford and Tameside the two lowest all on 12. Rochdale and Stockport only others under 20 both on 14.

GM total 433 - up 66 on yesterday - which is actually fairly low from the regional rise of 180 in the day.

But up 234 week to week out of the 376 week to week rise. Which is well over par.

nope. When you smoke you dont spread it to others, you dont kill other people and you dont impact millions of other peoples lives do you. Different issue and problem. Sure its radical but if it helped make people accountable for their own actions, saves lives and allows us to get control of these outbreaks then surely its a good thing.

Almost 4000 people a year die from passive smoking and 78,000 a year from smoking directly.

Why not the same for fat twats or drug and alcohol abusers.
One free treatment then they are on their own.

Anti vaccine wankers should be at the back of the queue behind literally everybody, including Pete Doherty’s methadone prescription and that tart who had her tits done on the NHS.

I’ve got zero patience for any of them. Fucking thick wankers.

Smokers pay a lot in tax on their vice, and there’s evidence to suggest that on average they contribute more than they take out due to dying younger (old age is where most will benefit from the nhs for surgeries, care etc)

Different argument. This pandemic affects us all. If you drink or smoke yourself to death it doesnt infect others, kill others and doesnt impact the lives of millions of other people. I just wish these selfish ignorant anti vaccine people would understand this.
Where as i agree to a point it doesnt infect others in so much they will protected. Wont they ?

The whole point of locking down was to protect the NHS. Obesity, alcoholism, drugs, smoking, countless other lifestyle choices ALL have a negative impact on the NHS and its capacity. Those issues directly affect the NHS ability to cope with increased covid admissions, and could result indirectly in deaths. You're not thinking properly if you think there's not a relationship.

there is a relationship sure, but nothing has impacted NHS and all our lives as has Covid. Do you think otherwise. Sure its abit drastic but these are drastic times are they not. And whats wrong with making people accountable for their own actions.
