Return of Supporters

He's the Mayor of Greater Manchester. When they asked us if we wanted a Mayor for the City of Manchester we said no. So when it came time to appoint a Mayor for Greater Manchester they didn't ask us.

Besides the point really, which is people like him should have been nowhere near that game. The club should have made every effort to get the vast majority of those 10000 tickets into the hands of City fans.
In a perfect world yes.
We don't live in a perfect world. It's unfair most of the time.
The secret is to not let stuff that in the larger scheme of things don't matter, bother you.
You'll live a happier and more fulfilled life, mate.

How did I ever get to the age of 59 without your homespun wisdom to assist me on the journey.

Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, Epictetus and all those other Stoic philosophers have found a true disciple in you mate.

Oh, and fuck off.

There will have been plenty of guests in the best seats who didn't pay and to be fair he is the mayor of the organisation that owns the stadium !!
City own the stadium they have a 200 year lease.

MCC will get revision in 182 years not the GMCA.

It didn't take Burnham to aim another veiled dig at the Blues when a fellow Evertonian pointed out City were not a 'big' club, but a 'rich' club - and had 'no history before their current billionaire owners'.

He responded: "Yes. If I'd thought about it instead of tweeting in the moment, I'd have said that. Thanks for putting me straight."

Haha! Okey dokey.

Just to add my initial point on rereading comes across as far more patronising than meant so I accept your reply with good grace :-)

No excuse for my parting shot. Apologies. I'm having the day from he'll. You were being very patronising:-)

Did he?

scouse ****. We’re much much bigger than Everton and they haven’t even got their Victorian age trophy count to fall back on now as we’ve surpassed that

yeah......Andy Burnham is the Mayor of Greater Manchester not just Manchester....boss
Have you got nothing better to do ..... not really sure what point you are trying to make. I can’t be doing with the unnecessary aggression- we’ve just won the league. Can’t you enjoy anything

>22,000 fans or ballot? Thought it was home fans only?
I rule for one not one rule for all.
The club invite people. Howard Bernstein & Richard Leese are often guests of the Chairman, as are others.

You were there yesterday because you were one of the people who effectively jumped the queue without needing to go in the ballot. And you're complaining that someone else did the same.

Are you just having a bad day Ged or should I have a word with your sister about getting you into Heathlands? ;-)

nowt on season cards but cityzens memberships are available now and usually auto renew

Thanks. It all depends on.my health but l dont want to rush my decision. Went to give blood for the

If Burnham's head was as clever as his smart-arse Manchester would be a far better place.
Perhaps without stabbings near the old Kippax.

What the club were playing at stopping fans at the perimeter I have no idea. Rather than risk anyone without a ticket getting into the (much larger) area around the stadium, they decided that a bottleneck at the main entrance would be a better idea. Packed together, no social distancing, very few masks. Covid's dream. After a year spent in isolation, it was very unnverving and so unnecessary, as everything inside the stadium worked a treat.

My dad is vaccinated, but is now worried that he'll test positive and be unable to go to Porto.

And to top it all off, they didn't even ask for ID or Track and Trace. Jokers.

Glad I voted Pab Zab in the elections.

Come on Colin. I didn't jump the queue as I have almost 25,000 points.
My comments about Burnham were in jest. A joke if you like: But not as much of a joke as only giving around six and a half percent of the tickets based on measurable long term support for the club.

Did anyone else get the email survey about the experience yesterday?

I told them the only thing wrong was that they had no meat and potato pies!! ;-) Can’t let them get complacent can I? Just because for me it was a perfect day I couldn’t let them know! ;-)
They've stopped serving Bovril. A pie and a Bovril is the pre-match meal of the discerning supporter.

Fantastic day yesterday . Feeling it today though with a hangover from hell. Just a pleasure to be back in the stadium , singing for 90 mins, watching a polished performance and to witness Serge scoring his brace was something to behold. The to cap it off see us lift the Prem trophy. We’re so lucky !

The only slight downer on the day was the over zealous Irish doorman at Mary D’s . What a c**k . One group of lads started to sing and he came charging over threatening to throw everyone out if it carried on. Honestly being treated like children and we paid a £5 on the door for the privilege. Even the bar staff was fuming with his attitude . Many fans just didn’t bother coming in . I’ve heard he got drafted in after trouble in there after PSG.
