Francis Lee

Totally agree with Berts Neck, Franny was just one of a fine team of players wearing the blue shirt. He was the complete centre forward, taking no prisoners and he had a perfect eye for goal, no messing around for Franny, he used to bury the ball 9 times out of 10 in the net, off the field a funny bubbly man, on the field he was so aggressive.
A real old time centre forward, just hope we keep seeing players of his standing continue to entertain at our beloved ground!!!!!

He was the star player when he played for City. If he was with City now he would not be the stand out player but part of the collective. Nobody can say how he might rerspond to that context or what he would be like with modern training, coaching and dietary requirements and the influence of Pep. He was young, like many others, his career path could have been much different in a different age. Sergio was considered lazy when it came to training, look how well that turned out.
For all of us who went home and away when we were shite and the scum were winning everything,we know what Kinky was to us...a fucking bright light in dark days.

Apart from Derby you mean and maybe because his best days were at City, and he was plagued by injuries. Still one of the most gifted left footed players I've had the pleasure of watching, he made going to watch games enjoyable in a time we were dire.
He played a few games for Derby on loan.
Behave yourself, if Stirling gets in it then Kinky would have been in it.
Pfft

When they were winning everything in sight and we were crap Utd fan use to come in pub said at "least you've got a hell of a player in that lad wish we had him" so I said who would you drop to get him in, He replied anybody says it all.

He got there player of the year , why do you lot who slag him off know fuck all , embarrassing
Technically good player but rarely delivered. Wouldn't get anywhere near Guardiola's teams. You sure he got Derby's PotY after playing 24 games? Even if he did it's hardly a ringing endorsement to put him on a par with City's current squad.
Anyway just my opinion after watching home and away for City

Ok , where you going home and away the 3 seasons he was with us if so if you can name a better individual performance by a City player than Gio’s in the 3 3 with Newcastle am all hears after that we discuss his performances at Villa , Coventry , Boro I could carry on am sick to death of City fans slagging him off for basically being to loyal to us and ruining his own career ( he should have left after we got relegated from the prem ) yes sometimes he didn’t do enough agreed but you would get pissed off playing with Paul Beesley , Eddie McGoldrick , Darren Wassel etc, up the blues let’s move on .

Also mate he played nearly 100 games for Derby and was there 4 seasons ? He got poty for them but not sure in which year

What is not known though is would he have been more of a team player if coached better at youth level which is better organised in this day and age. A player with natural skill but poor team attitude can have that side addressed to some degree. A straight swap in as-is, I probably agree.
Possibly. We’ll never know sadly mate.
