Harry Kane

seems like poch may have to decide between Tottenham and Madrid

Say he did end up at Madrid. Could test Kane's rumoured resolve to stay in the PL. Madrid would have the money, the draw, the manager, and Levy would know how to sell to them and avoid selling within our league. Could also use Bale in part exchange.

Im not convinced Madrid do have the money, and the Bale option is probably a none starter as hes still got 12 months on his mega contract while, now approaching 32,he is also considering retirement.

Again, there is also the problem of Madrid winning trophies,as they too are on a huge rebuild (which will also prioritise a record transfer for a striker)

I look at what Cavani has been able to do at United in a short spell and fuck me Kane would be ridiculous for us

Explain to me, please, how Tottenham plan on paying Gareth Bale's wages

Real Madrid will always find ways to have money and make big singings. They will always have a damn good shot at winning trophies. Particularly with Barcelona the weakest they've been in over a decade.

Bale seems happy at spurs, and may well take the wages on offer for a couple more years, and spurs get a playernas part of the sale of Kane. I honestly can see that as a possibility. Probably more so than Pochetino at Spurs convincing Kane to stay.

I don’t know about Bale, in some Welsh papers here in South Wales, he’s apparently thinking about retirement after the euros.

Ok, say he retires, stays at Madrid, or moves to China. I can still see Kane at Madrid with Pochetino as per all above minus Bale.

Lol, what nonsense from the papers, he's only 31. What's he going to do, retire and play golf?

When he can get paid 600k a week to play golf.

Or paid less to play regularly elsewhere.

Who knows a new manager might even use him at Real.

He said in the Neville interview that going abroad 'doesn't interest him' and constantly alluded to Shearer's record.

Kane said he wanted to stay in the PL and Pochettino was t PSG, so Pochettino clearly isn't a massive attraction. He seems to have been either very definite or very indiscreet about where he wants to be next season and this raises the question of how much, if any, encouragement he has received.

Hence the words 'could test his claimed resolve'.

Every single thing Kane said in his interview, can be unsaid. Or changed in context. He gave generic feeling opinions, to wooly questions, at a point in time. It really sets nothing in stone. It may have hints at where he is and where wants to be and even what might be happening in the background. But that is all they are, nothing to be held to. As I see it anyway.

I don’t think he will retire, Wales comes before everything else, no matter what team he plays for Wales will still pick him. It’s why you see old Bale in the Wales team. I think City are just one Striker away from domination. Our squad is the best in the league add a Kane to that no stopping us. Also on Kane he wants to break Shearer‘s record so I couldn’t see him going abroad.

Fair enough. The majority see the interview as a come and get me plea to certain clubs. Everything he said will have been said for a reason, whether generic or not.

If you’re angling for a move then why seemingly rule out playing abroad if you’re actually willing to move there?

If the interview didn’t really mean much then nothing can be taken from it in terms of where his head is at and, to me anyway, that’s not true.

The talk of Poch going back to spurs have perked up the spurs fans and them thinking Kane now might stay if they do get Poch! So job done spotlight of the spurs being shite and the scum losing to a championship side!!
