The timing is disgraceful really, he seems to have said the same to Aguero's mate Jose Alvarez as well.
These are the dark arts I was alluding to, the natural reaction is to be pissed at not starting, however, if, and it’s a big if, a guy of his quality is put off by fighting for a spot then you wouldn’t want him in the trenches with you...

Do we know if the timing of it going public coincides with him saying it? because more often than not, it doesn't, the media (both social and conventional) put out claims later than they are made or even recycle old ones.

We would be weaker without Laporte so hopefully he goes nowhere.
Stone and Dias have obviously become the first choice and it's fully deserved but losing Laporte means the second one of them is unavailable the drop off will be huge.
Not a fan of him speaking out so close to the biggest game in our recent history though.

People get angsty about the weirdest things. My own opinion is everyone should relax and enjoy it all. These are the days that we dreamt about.

Last year I got really wound up with the transfer window. Mainly impacted by my Dad's illness and the unknown of covid.

As such I thought Chelsea had the best window and was proved completely wrong.

So this year I'm relaxed and I know the club will get it right.

I’m surprised 3 at the back hasn’t been experimented with more given Pep loves all 3 CBs we have at the club and it’d get the best out of Cancelo and Mendy while not particularly affecting Walker.

Cancelo could double up as a CM like he usually does but with more security behind him or Mendy for times we need the width. It’s a formation Pep wanted at the beginning of the 17/18 season but had to stop because of Mendy’s injury.

FWIW I think Chelsea definitely did have the best window last year, they just bought some very young players who weren't going to make an instant impact and didn't get the manager right until February.

There's a good chance they're our biggest rivals for the next few years with Werner, Havertz, Mendy and Ziyech being key players.

Life’s too short. Seeing people call each other all sorts over Jack Grealish is just mad. Especially this week.

I’m writing this from the plane on my way to Porto though so my mood is probably as good as it’s ever been!

There's more to the Laporte situation than what we know, i'm sure of it.

Pep saw his arse with him after the Spurs home game. Laporte by all accounts can be a confrontational personality. Pep doesnt like the 'sad faces'.

I love Laporte the player but if hes the type that drops form, expects to play, at the expense of someone like Stones who is giving it everything to get back to a top level, then Pep will take a dim view and so he should.

Can see at least 2 of Laporte/Jesus/Sterling being sold this summer.

"You have to shake, you have to move".

We will buy a striker and Grealish would not impact it.

I'm hearing if we win this weekend the cash is guaranteed.
If we win this weekend your looking at £120m Champs money
Add last years around £70m
Now add £150m for coming 1st in England
Sponsors & CFG + Sane, Nico, Harrison, Angelino transfers would give City the bullets to go £200m on both Kane & Grealish leaving next year to go for LB & possibly Dino replacement

Agreed, and maybe there are others who have still not forgiven Pep for being dropped in critical games

Enjoy every minute mate.

2-0 to City. We are too good.

The arrival of Dias put his nose out of joint. Laporte has been great for us but I would question his mentality. It was not long ago that he changed his mind about joining City. Maybe thinks with a good Euro he will have Barca/Real knocking at the door.

i'd like him to have the mentality of Zin and fight for his place. Stones could have another melt down ( i hope not ) or him or Ruben could get injured. The chances of another season like this will be slim.
Love the ZIn one of my favourite players. He never lets us down and we look so much better with him in the side.
