Can’t go through a full season with just Stones, Dias, Ake and an Academy player with no first team experience
I wasn't having a pop mate, just slightly surprised with some of the posts on this forum thinking it'll be easyThanks for clarifying that, I'm sure @Cobwebcat was being 100% literal and will be completely shocked to know we can in fact lose tomorrow.
Ramos? LolIts always going to be hard to keep 3 world class centre backs happy especially one in their mid twenties. Maybe an older experienced head would be more suitable for a bit part role?
My point, which isn’t exactly difficult to comprehend, when discussing Mendy, is that yes of course we don't want to sit him in the stands, but equally even if we push him out on a subsidised loan we are going to be paying the majority of his wages, so the net result is more or less the same. We can’t afford passengers in our champs league squad and Mendy is the epitome of a passenger.I don't think the club would do that to any player. It sends bad signals and would make incomings harder. If Mendy has to leave, they will find a way, be it a sale for less or a loan. Imo, he would be replaced by another left back and unless it is from the academy, still a space. What order that happens though, fair point.
I guess I am responding because I make a point of squad spaces needing made for Graelish to arrive, so I feel I may be one of what you refer to. It is not an excuse for not wanting Graelish, it is just a point that for him to arrive, something needs to happen and one needs to leave. And often I say it in response to people claiming he can just show up without affecting the squad because the foreign quota is misunderstood to have a few spare slots.
The club will obviously reshuffle the squad holistically to het what they want, over the whole transfer window.
He would be a good fit to be fair but I imagine wages would be an issue. Maybe someone like Jan Vertonghen.Ramos? Lol

We possibly could, either way it's difficult to keep 4 frontline centre backs happy unless there are long term injuries. If Laporte was to leave I think we need to look for either an older replacement or a younger prospect, or somebody from the academy. I'm not sure it would be another high profile centre back, certainly not one as good as Laporte. Can’t go through a full season with just Stones, Dias, Ake and an Academy player with no first team experience
If the two goals come in the last ten minutes after both sides have chances to win then that’s not easy. 2-0 my honest prediction. Not like I’m going for 7-0.I wasn't having a pop mate, just slightly surprised with some of the posts on this forum thinking it'll be easy

If Laporte was to leave then somebody like Kamara that can playe centre back or dfefensive midfield may be a good compromise.I don’t know how they will figure it out, but it isn’t acceptable for next season’s squad to be weaker in options than this one. That comes with a cost, look at our rivals. Maybe that’s where Kamara will be of use
I can from laporte latest statement sounds like if he gets an offer he will be gone.Any word on bastoni or is that media bs can't see us signing another left footed cb.
Thats a good point actually, the Kamara rumours suddenly make a lot more sense. Is it right that he’s equally adept at CDM? That would be solving two issues in one for us at a decent price if so.I don’t know how they will figure it out, but it isn’t acceptable for next season’s squad to be weaker in options than this one. If we win this weekend your looking at £120m Champs money
Add last years around £70m
Now add £150m for coming 1st in England
Sponsors & CFG + Sane, Nico, Harrison, Angelino transfers would give City the bullets to go £200m on both Kane & Grealish leaving next year to go for LB & possibly Dino replacement
Can have him.Real Madrid want him.
Real Madrid want him.
This would make sense, committing his International future to Spain along with going to play there. A big career move internationally which would be cemented playing at Real.Real Madrid want him.
