Playing an all attacking side with no defensive solitary without an actual striker on the field. Basically if it worked pep, the lord and mighty savior, would of changed football forever. Unfortunately it led to a reasonably settled Chelsea side being able to counter attack us at will and us having 1 shot on target. How on earth do we end up having a settled first 11 throughout Dortmund and PSG and then waiting till now to change it to something which we haven’t done ALL SEASON, AT ANY POINT. That team would do well against Fulham, not in the first champions league final.
 
Pep is a legend. But letting Sterling playing for 80 mins doing fuck all in James's shadow, then finally bringing on Aguero and Fernandinho (which totally changed the game) after 80 mins was an absolute shocker.

He has cost us. Fucking hate when he persists with things when they are not working. Again his overtinkering have fucked it. Why change a dynamic team that hammered Dortmund and PSG to what was clearly a dodgy lineup? I got that exact same feeling when he announced the squad against Lyon - "what the fuck is he doing?"

Well played Chelsea. Better team. Kante was outstanding. Very disappointed as that wasn't us and I feel we were only were ourselves in the last 10/15 minutes.

That being said, we still won the league and our wee Caraboa Cup. That's still a huge win.
 
We all know Peps ego took over again but there was not one player for City bettter than 7 out of 10. Chavs James, Chillwell, Rudiger etc and Kante was best on pitch by a country mile
 
Feel sorry for the guys that spent all that money going to the game to be let down by that team selection.
I don't feel like we lost,rather we gave it away.

As soon as we saw the line up,most of us recognised what was in store.......Disappointed isn't the word.

Have you all forgotten where we came from? I'm not even talking our stint in the second division, but the Prem years when we were the ass end of every joke. Now who's fucking laughing?

Sure, be disappointed about tonight, I certainly am - but it's our first EVER CL final. Who would think we'd make it this far without even a centre forward? We'll be back and we'll win it too, until then, chin up blues, we are the champions
 
Tuchel is a top manager, he knew how to set up against us.
Lesser teams have beat us with that style of play so why not Chelsea.
I am gutted but one thing I’ve learnt about City over the years is when the confidence levels are high (on here) it invariably goes to shit.
So congratulations to Chelsea, we never laid a glove on them all night.
 
Congratulations to Chelsea and Tuchel in particular, they stuck to their plan and made us stupid. This was one of their three easiest games all season. Our manager did not turn up, our players didn't turn up, but again credit to Chelsea, they contributed to us playing like utter bellends - nothing to take from their win. We could've continue playing another 90 minutes and then another 90 and another 90.....one shot on goal, that is beyond shocking.
I doubt Pep will change anything in his approach to the games and I think he should not, but in CL, unless he really has the player that can singlehandedly take the game to the opposition who play this kind of the system, more often than not he is going to end up losing in this competition - the history proves it. This was like playing Wolves or Burnley with 10x more quality. Three games and we looked so inept. Wow...this was Lyon's level of non-performance.
