Champions League Final | Post-Match Thread

I can’t even remember a shot apart from mahrez at the end just terrible from start to finish I’m fuming

Chelsea the better side tonight - their players knew their positions, and they played as if they wanted more. Ours looked a little lost, whether that was because they weren’t comfortable with the tactics or they were slightly overawed but they didn’t look up for it.
Shame but it has been a great season and we’ll be back.

Not many chances were created tonight, that's the problem. No matter how many goals Chelsea scored, this is no excuse. City can normally creat many more chances no matter which the opponents are.
This. Its been a problem since Silva left and to some degree before it too.

We need a play maker, a defensive midfielder in the Kante/Fern mould and a striker.

The one when Sterling shot on goal and it hit an outstretched hand. Doesnt matter that it hit his body first, hand made body bigger, that is a penalty, as shown with the emre can one when that rule was explained.
nah man you are clutching.

and rudigers was a standard body check - never usually a red

Oh sorry, here's me thinking wee were challenging another team for an accolade.

Fuck me and others for being disappointed that we didn't rise to the occassions tonight.

I guess we should all just take every achievment in our stride, right?

Because that is how you progress!

Like I said, be disappointed.

But let's not go overboard here. We're still the champions and that's not a gimme at all (see, Mancini, Pellers, etc)

But sure, making our FIRST EVER CL FINAL is in fact progress

the lack of options up front killed us tonight simple ? aguero was finished long before tonight. sterling is not good enough at this level. jesus is even worst

this will be the lesson city and pep will learn from tonight get 2 top strikers and this city team win the champions league
I thought Jesus played better than Sterling and Mahrez tonight and he only played 30 minutes. He may not be the striker that we hoped he would be when we first signed him but he does improve our team more often than not. It's been a long time since we could say the same for Sterling.

I agree with you tonight mate. He was the best out of all our attack tonight.
best because we put him in and completely fucked up our attack. Clean through first 5 mins and his ‘control’ meant chance gone. Foden out there ans gundogan in his normal spot and we are so much more dangerous than when raheem plays.

And honestly in a game when we are showing we cant do nothing even shooting properly i think there is a player who was key several times in offensive moments, and also shoots good that deserved some minutes: Cancelo.

Are Chelsea a better team? No
Do Chelsea have a stronger starting 11? No
Is Tuchel a better manager than Pep? No

So, why did we lose and where did it go wrong? Player mentality and Pep. One plays into the other. They say shit rolls down hill, so does confidence. Many players would of seen that starting 11 tonight and lost confidence, that is where it went wrong. The players internally would of questioned the managers decisions like many fans and that is what we seen play out on the pitch, lack of confidence and uncertainty.

This. Its been a problem since Silva left and to some degree before it too.

We need a play maker, a defensive midfielder in the Kante/Fern mould and a striker.
We need some balls in the middle and upfront, no personality in either position.
