I keep looking at it from City's point of view and going "well, we don't need him". Doesn't really matter whether he's amazing or not.

This is it for me.

If he was as good as he is and played striker, defensive mid or left back then the arguments of "he's the missing piece of the jigsaw" would carry some weight.

He improves the squad because he's a very good player but we aren't missing very good players who play on the wing or as a number ten, despite what some on here would have us believe.

One thing that I think Grealish would help with is giving us a bit more bite. In terms of pure technical quality, I'd agree with those who think we don't necessarily need him. But I find it hard to believe we'd have surrendered so meekly in the Champions League Final with him (and Kane) in the team.

If Laporte were to leave and we ended up signing Ramos, Grealish and Kane, I'd fancy us a lot more in the big one-off games. We do look like we're missing that edge sometimes, with a few notable exceptions

I think a lot of people are only just starting to realise just how good he is.

Certainly not as trendy as Jack but I firmly believe he is at least as good within his own role.

Grealish has been constantly in the press for the wrong reasons for the better part of 5 years. Walker and Foden both had isolated incidents, that they clearly learned and matured from.

I wouldn’t sell Laporte, Silva and not even Cancelo without a very good replacement. Kane and Grealish in Sterling out would be ideal but can’t see it happening.
