Jack Grealish

Judging players by what clubs/countries they play for is ridiculous. Judging players by what trophies the teams they play for have won is equally ridiculous. This is a team sport. You can only make a fair assessment by watching the player. Otherwise, clubs would be fighting over Mendy.

Bernardo has had one good season since he signed. The same for Gundogan. Mahrez has had maybe half a season where he hasn’t been completely useless. Sterling, the player most are trashing, has arguably been the most consistent. He just hasn’t performed this year.

I value consistency.
Absolute crock of poo

I don’t get the arguments over Grealish’s compared to our players , is he a very good player, obviously yes, would he be a good replacement if any of our players leave, probably yes.
Will we force out any of our players to make room for him , no we wouldn’t because he isn’t that big an improvement on those we have if an improvement at all for us.
None of us know whether any of our players want to leave if they do and manage to find a club we might look at him depending on price, if our current players are happy to stay then we won’t bother.

I do think there's a bit of a big disconnect when people are arguing that not just Sterling, but Mahrez and Bernardo too, are all inferior to him. I understand the Sterling agenda is basically a meme at this point on Bluemoon, but when you throw Mahrez and Bernardo in it becomes quite surreal.

It's when you see the delusional ones complaining about the squad constantly like it's the fucking nineties and saying daft shite like "Grealish is the player who will take us to the next level" like we haven't had better players than him in recent years.

Sorry lads but if the likes of Kompany, David Silva and Sergio Aguero didn't make us sweep up every competition in existence then Grealish isn't single handedly going to win us anything. Certainly not if the squad is as poor as us bring made out.

I've got good cause for liking myself as I'm sure you do too. It hasn't always been the case for me even if that's always been the impression.
I’ve no issue with that, I like you too. Doesn’t mean I can’t disagree with you, there are few things I do actually agree on with my mates over a pint, that’s why going for a pint with them is interesting. My point was that we all like our own posts, it’s why we post them.

Fucking hell, I swear Grealish gains a Ballon d'Or every day that passes on here.

He's a very good player but some of you are overhyping him massively. You'd think he's Maradona reincarnate by the way some of you carry on.
I know Luke “excellent”Shaw has a Carte D’or every day.

I keep looking at it from City's point of view and going "well, we don't need him". Doesn't really matter whether he's amazing or not. Only matters that in his position we're stocked with players who are proven at the highest level under the most demanding coach on the planet.

I also can't help but think that Pep would never in a million years sign a lad who less than 12 months ago was getting done for drunk driving and getting pictures taken with topless ladies of the night. I get that all footballers are naughty boys on some level, but City are so fucking big on their public image. Pep is so big on professionalism.

We're talking about a minimum 75 million euro transfer PLUS the liability of the contract on top of that. For that sort of money you have to be absolutely sure about what you're buying. And I don't think we can be sure with Grealish what he is or will become.

The Mendy example is bad faith arguing. What I said to you what that I respect what our players have achieved "on the pitch". I was literally referring to the three players you think Grealish would bench (Sterling, Bernardo, and Mahrez).

I also judge players using my eyes and I've never called Grealish a shit player. I just don't think he's better than what we've got. Salah, Mane, Haaland, Mbappe, and KDB were all playing CL football well before the age of 25. Grealish is STILL at Villa and was playing championship football a couple of seasons ago.

It's not in bad faith at all. I've just taken your argument to its logical conclusion in order to expose how defective it is. I certainly believe that Grealish would be starting ahead of all three based on their average performances. Obviously, if Bernardo were to return to his best form (which we only witnessed for a single season) then he would also start. Sterling has only been poor this last season. I don't even attribute all of the blame to him. I think there are reasons outside of his control. I wouldn't be looking to sell Sterling.

What difference does it make that Grealish is still at villa? Would he automatically be a better player if he played for Real Madrid? I don't care what team they have played for, what trophies they have won, how they wear their hair or the size of their shin pads. Shearer must have been useless because he was still playing for Newcastle. Kane is still at Spurs and so must also be pretty useless. Zidane must only have become a good player once he transferred to Juventus. Honestly, can you not see how nonsensical this is?

Honestly, I'm good with what I posted. Think we'll have to agree to disagree.

If you don't have anything of value to say, why not keep the childish insults to yourself? You can disagree whilst being respectful. It only reflects badly on yourself.
It was a concise, succinct and accurate response to a long rambling spurious posting.
