Jack Grealish

Said it before and I would say it again all he does is dribble and get fouled.

Don’t know what he actually brings to the club, we don’t lack ball progression, we need final third specialists.
Another case of the media overhyping someone because they're not used to seeing an English player with a bit of technical ability. In reality he's nothing special.

TBF It took me ages to appreciate how great a player he is. Not going to let his average half hour tonight set me back as the lad can play, as can loads of the players out there tonight.. they are just held back by championship quality management.

That said.. Kane though.. that’s not a management problem.. that physical. He’s done.

there’s not in between though. It’s either overhyping him or saying he’s not good enough after a bad game
He has 0 goals for England. What is the hype about him starting for England? What is he good at ? So England are relying on him to win free kicks or corner kicks because that is all he did.

You can’t talk about Kane being a finished player then say Grealish is poor management.

Grealish is an overhyped English fraud with 0 goals for England and has not achieved anything in life to be called a great player. Kane on the other hand has a lot of credit in the bank and has actually performed well for England before and is actually a great player.

So please stop your Grealish fanboy behavior. B

Mate, 12 months ago... I was calling Grealish shit and overrated and Kane the best striker in the world behind Lewindowski. This season is the tipping point.. Grealish will offer far more value than Kane moving forward as their quality tilt is probably level now with Grealish still in an upward trajectory whilst Kane is starting to drop.

Don’t let Kane’s numbers fool you.. he will literally drop from hero to zero within 12 months.. we are already seeing the start of it.

The way ITV spoke about him, I was expecting him to come off the bench and score 4 goals taking it past 6 players each goal.

I like him as a player (and hope we sign him) but he’s not a world beater all of a sudden, the way he’s being hyped up right now by the media as England’s saving star is beyond a joke, are they basing their judgment off 2 friendly games against dog n duck where he got a few fouls drawing players in? Tragic.

Please stop Kane is a great player. Grealish can be a great player but isn’t that yet, what makes grealish a great player that doesn’t qualify kane?

Grealish is also poor value because he is already overrated and his price is inflated. 100m for a 6 goal winger who can dribble and win fouls ? That is not good value.

Kane is Wayne Rooney in 2012/13. Rooney was still putting up serious numbers.. and (unlike Kane) had won it all and (like Kane) was the face of the premier league and National team.. truth was any sane person could see he was about to take an early turn for the worse 4/5 years before you would expect.

Can you imagine buying Rooney during the summer of 2013 for a world record fee? At the time it wouldn’t have been that bizarre. 18 months later it would have looked like the worst business decision ever.

If we go big.. let’s go Haaland.. if not let’s go a bit leftfield and pick up a Jao Felix or someone else that hasn’t fulfilled their potential due to square pegs round holes but will fit Peps system and will have resale value if it doesn’t work.

But you know Kane is entering his prime years now though and Kane is very hungry for success so I feel he would take care of his body and work very hard to achieve success here.

Anyway obviously I am not desperate for Kane and don’t feel he is value for the 150m being mentioned.

No, you have answered this question yourself.. we don’t “know” If Kane is entering his prime years.. he’s showing the complete opposite hence my comparisons to Rooney. Players should be judged purely on their “own” physical output and not generic age brackets of peak/prime performance output otherwise players like Owen would have gone on to be the greatest ever, Brazilian Ronaldo would have broken every scoring record known to man (throughout this career) and Ronaldinho would have been blah, blah, blah.. every player is different and peaks / drops at different times.

Kane looks shot to me.

He's shot but just got more assists and goals than anybody else in the Premier league last season so what are you basing that on?... I agree about the fee though if we're blowing 150m on a striker I'd go Haaland at his age over Kane at 28. But to suggest Kane is shot... in my opinion is nonsense.

Grealish, Haaland, a young LB & DM and next season…and many more to come…is sorted!

Don’t think Haaland is going to leave BD this season, so that leaves us with a problem:

Get a worldie in now, because we can’t be certain if getting him next year, or

Go with some other cheaper, short-term choice (maybe a young lad like Delap?!) after paying BD this year for Haaland next year!

Another small fish in a big pond, the guy is a very decent player but he is not the new world star because he has a solid season with Aston Villa.

Talk of a 100m deal is utter nonsense, especially when reports are rating Bernardo at 60m.

Anyone at this stage who thinks Grealish is a better player than Bernardo needs to learn about football.

Like most English players, his hype is worse than his talent.

Kane has grown up in England and is a good finisher, but like many other players who were top players here, he wouldn’t make it overseas.

Grealish, on the other hand, looks like he’s very well suited to the Italian and Spanish leagues.

Not sure either of them ever gets to wear the Sky Blue at the Etihad.

Does that include Pep if he sells one and buys the other?
It looks like Pep has promised Bernardo a move, he wanted out last year if reports are right, Pep asked him to stay one more season with a move this summer.

But if all is true and we sell Bernardo for 60m and add another 40m for Grealish we have lost the plot.

I don't get the hype for Grealish, never have but it's all about opinions.

But as said, if ANY club pays 100m for Grealish in this covid climate they have utterly lost it.

Talent is just one part of what makes a great player, hunger, desire and intelligence makes up a considerable part. The hunger, desire and intelligence often worries me with the home grown players.

One thing I’ve learned this last 24 hours is that Pep knows absolutely nothing about football, but certain patrons of this forum know everything about it. Bloody Fraudiola tag was right all along. I want my money back.
