Truly awful game of hoofball.....amongst the poor displays by England's 11 both Kane and Sterling were terrible. How are we going to score any goals when both Rice and Phillips won't or can't play forward? I feel worse than I did after City's pathetic display in Chumps League final!

Get a grip then. This is an England team under Southgate, and England dont deliver in tournaments anyway. City however, we are consistently the best team in our league and should have beaten Chelsea had it not been for a ludicrous change of tactics. So England are par for the course and City spunked it away. Feel worse for us

I'me not that bothered about the result or the lack of urgency or style. That happens. It was fkin boring, I'd been looking fw to Friday football, drink, fun etc but ffs that was 2hours wasted.

Foden was the only one running his socks off and trying to close down defenders while the liked of Kane strolled around. He wouldn't suit our style of play unless he bucks his ideas up big time, as for Rashford Ffs he's the most overrated player since Beckham

Most of the games in this tournament has been boring so far. World Cup 94 was the first tournament I watched and have seen probably 50% of the games in each international tournament (world cup and euro's) since. I know it's usually hyperbole to say this is the worst tournament I have seen, but I can't remember watching an international tournament as bad as this.

There hasn't been 1 game that I have watched and thought this is a great game after watching about 80% of the games so far. I did miss the Holland Vs Ukraine game which was probably the best game so far, at least based on the score so maybe that's why.

Never thought I’d be hoping Jordan Henderson gets a game but at least at Liverpool he is adept at playing the early ball to the forward players

I was watching with my mate across the road and when I saw grealish warming up I said, 60 mins Foden will be off and he said Southgate wouldn't be so fucking stupid. He is a total disgrace to his profession

Piss poor man management from Southgate last night to sub Foden for Grealish. Fans have wanted to see both players together so for Phil to hear that reaction to Grealish coming on as he comes off is abysmal.

Anyone have any idea what our tactics were last night? When you see Italy, France, Holland, Portugal etc… there is shape, you can visibly see patterns of play.

I posted in this thread that the game died for me when Foden was taken off. It reminded me of Bobby Robson subbing Lineker off against the Republic of Ireland in a 1990 group stage game at 1-1. He was clearly more concerned about dropping a point than gaining 2 more. That tournament clearly came good later but Robson was a class manager with an illustrious club management career behind and Southgate is anything but that.

You guys deserved your point and good luck to you but England clearly have a decent amount of talent with a manager who isn’t up to it, imagine Pep in the role 10 years from now with a similar plethora of talent?
