Not sure how promising youngsters equates to best players we’ve ever had, we have a lot of players who are equally not quite top drawer so it gives a false impression of depth. It’s hard to pick a first 11 because none of the attacking players have stood out. This is completely different to having an abundance of riches.

These lads city and Chelsea players apart haven’t won fuck all, when they play a decent side with top quality players with experience and nous we are fucked.
 
Despite all the hype from the pundits I thought England were poor against a sub-standard Czech team. Just two attempts on target. Not much different from the Scotland and Croatia matches. Very defensive and dire to watch. The only plus for me was the performance of Saka. The TV coverage was like North Korean propaganda. The media can spin it as much as they want and perhaps the fans in Jester's Hats loved it but it was dreadful to watch.
 
Just noticed that England’s settled back four is a city full back and centre back plus an united full back and centre back. I pretty sure that has never happened before, particularly in a major tournament.

I honestly couldn't do much worse. As we're not getting relegated there is no point in this turgid style of football. Why? Because we're never going to win anything ever continuing along this path. Greece did it a few years ago but it rarely happens. So why don't we take a few hits and actually start putting together a better more creative style of play given the decent young talent we have? There is no point getting to tournaments we have no chance of ever winning because our tactics are so negative and timid we go out against the first decent side we play.

You need to take your red white and blue tinted spectacles off, because without realising it, ironically it is attitudes like yours, not mine, that perpetuate failure after failure
 
I don't think l have heard commentary and punditry teams quite so sniping towards City players since league matches against teams in red.
The three who played plus Foden all received sly and more obvious digs for the whole programme. If it had not been for Raz we would have been out with Scotland but with three games without a goal as well as a win.

Spot-on. The cult of Southgate's England needs calling out. That was a shit performance. I actually think this is the best England squad, technically at least, for many years. So why do they have to play like Burnley? Hoof ball from Pickford, long balls into the channels, win the second ball, no creativity. That is all down to the playing style. Negative and dull. Southgate is just Pulis in a suit.
