Yes, and it seems even with rising cases the various governents seem fairly relaxed and confident that almost all restrictions will be lifted by August/ mid August. Jason Leitch in Scotland today saying we were getting about 30 hospitalisations / 1000 cases now, and very low deaths.
 
This has to be the catch up from yesterday as everywhere in GM is miles up.

Big news BOLTON has the lowest GM numbers for the firt time since we had heard of the Delta variant!

But do not cheer too much. They are up at 121 - and that is the biggest low number in GM for many months,

Everywhere is up a lot on last week.

Manchester top on 451 and both Wigan and Salford have new highs in the 200s.

Oldham had the worst rise pop score wise with a whopping 180 cases versus 93 a week ago - matching Zoe but probably exaggerating the week to week rise.

Bolton and Stockport had the two 'best' (if something in the 40s is that). And both of them will still be well up on their weekly Pop Scores, Just not as badly as others will.

Asuming the miss8ing data is all in todats numbers then GMs pop scores tonight and for the next few days are going to look artificially high. At least we can hope they will be artificially high. We will see.

Not a great day but I would suspect 2000/3000 of todays cases maybe should have been added to England yesterday in truth. Evening the rise out over two days.

If not we are going to see some huge rises stiill in coming weeks if this is the new normal.

Cannot see a message yet about this on Gov Uk. So it may yet be a true big rise up.

I know it’s Sunday figures but circa 250k vaccinations yesterday, 1st and 2nd doses, is a bit lower than hoped for.

I think there's more to these vaccine figures than supply issues.

Vaccine hesitancy from those who are living pretty much a normal life right now and either are blaize about getting vaccinated asap or don't understand the need for it so aren't in any hurry would be my guess.

Maybe vaccine passports/certificates would change things.

I think the government just need to make life easier for people who’ve been jabbed. No exclusions needed but a fast track into football/gigs/transport for the jabbed wouldn’t be discriminatory, as you’d just need to go through tests and a bit of a rigmarole to do things if not jabbed, which might concentrate the mind a little.
What I would also say is that, although there is a temptation to get a second jab early, people should really wait for at least 8 weeks and, preferably, 11.

To be honest, some of the over 40 groups are disappointing too.

Trouble is, the supply is so tight, those early second doses are allocated first doses which can’t now be used for that. Given the Pfizer first dose efficacy is around 94% with the second moving that to 96% I know what I’d be advocating and it wouldn’t be getting a second dose after 3 weeks.

They need to make it easier for double jabbed people to get on with life like in other countries, I know some people in their 20s who since the June 21 delay "dont see the point"

Dutch intend to introduce an updated app next week that will allow people to travel within the EU by showing a QR code. However, they may need to work on that idea, as a similar app was hacked at the weekend which allowed many people to enter clubs/events with fraudulent credentials.

Face masks no longer obligatory in shops, only public transport/airports/secondary schools.
 
Plenty of the guys who I play football with, who are in their late 20’s and early to mid 30’s, have zero interest in getting the jab. Think there’s only one of them who has had it, and I’d guess that’s because he’s married with a kid and probably sees life differently.

Don’t think so think if they get over 75% of all age ranges done and over 85% of the first 9 groups thats fine, and I think we will.
