Sure - but city have been struggling for a positive outlook in UK media ever since the takeover. And if Sterling were to be the catalyst for England to win the euros, it’ll be surely be a consideration, not the only consideration of course.

I don’t think this current variant is the norm though. The moment we get a top class striker in the side we’ll revert to playing like we did when we won back-to-back titles and Sterling will be fine.

With any luck we won't be playing said variant much longer. It exists because we didn't have a competent striker for most of last season. I expect us to return to direct football as soon as that problem is solved.

Sorry mate i am not an ITK and i am not a believer in the media at all, especially when there is no background substance , so when it comes to Sterling i would look at Arsenal raising funds for him nowt there is there?

Still not quite sure quite sure ĺwhat you are trying to say.
"Arsenal raising funds" ? , Sterling would not entertain a mid table team , which would struggle to pay even half his current salary.

My bad sorry, my belief is Arsenal are the only EPL team he would leave us for, and they are not in a position to make a move, nor are they raising funds.

The media shit sterling took came before his best seasons...so the poor take is your own. In fact the media have been nothing but sterling friendly the entire time he has been out of form.

Sterling has been the best player imo, the defence has not exactly been tested that much as England have not come up against a really top class side yet. Raheem has contributed significantly in terms of goals and general play.

Sterling has several weaknesses in his game which we all know about eg poor finishing, running down blind alleys and poor first touch. However, he is blessed with pace and has fantastic off the ball movement which enables him to get in some excellent goal scoring positions. We all know he has had a poor season, but he has proved previously he can be an important member of our squad/team and I am hoping we will see the Sterling of a couple of years ago next season.

Sterling has had to fight tooth and nail to get the press onside. All this whilst trying to improve his game on the field, and in the full knowledge that if he puts a single foot wrong he's back to square one. That is a pressure that most people would buckle under.

No disputing his influence and contribution,that aspect of his game is great,but you fail to mention the times he has given the ball away....the most glaring being the opportunity Muller should have buried.
As for the defence not being tested,due to average opposition,the same criticism could be levelled at our attack by saying they should be doing better when up against such levels.

Sterling is having a fine tournament,i agree our best attacker,and far more positive than negative....but overall,not for me,Shaw pinches that accolade.

He's been in the media good books the ENTIRE time he's been out of form. Yet you are trying to use pressure as an excuse...so he can play his best football while under the worst of the press scrutiny, but then can't when he is under none?

Your narrative is just nonsensical.
