My team would be with Foden left and Sterling right. I think Sterling is a better player on the right, certainly a better team player, although he scores a little less. I think Foden’s a miles better left forward than Sterling is.

We are overloaded on the left so while sterling is in form and mount is favourite for playing behind kaneover Grealish or Foden, well then Foden, Saka and Sancho are gonna be shoved on the right, Southgate seems to think Saka is the best option.

Come on now. I think it's unfair to suggest that everyone who thinks that foden should be playing is saying its because of City. What I think people are struggling with is understanding what he did wrong in the first two games to be essentially benched for the tournament.

What did he do in those two games that was better than what saka (and Sancho and Grealish) to suggest he should get in ahead of them?
