Italy v England | Euro 2020 Final

For some reason a few years back I just lost total interest in all International football, did not watch games and clould not even tell you who plays for Ireland. Euros 2020 watched a couple of games, did not go out of my way.....I tipped Italy from start but based on Mancini.....BUT it would be boost for everyone if England can win this bloody cup so I dont have to keep listening to "its coming home!" ..... So, as an Irishman I will be very happy for the English players and manager if they can lift that trophy....honestly.

It’s “Dave Whelan broke his leg in the cup final” all over again.

I’m English I want England to win, but because Italy have been the best team in the tournament and have Mancini as manager, plus all the over-the-top coverage and “football’s coming home” parrots, I won’t be shedding any tears of we don’t win.

Modern day England don't do anything for me now..anyway nothing will top the boys from 66..so I hope Bobby wins it
 
I hope England win not for me as an Englishman and not for England as a country but just for the 4 city players who have all been great for us since singing ( i know we didn't pay for Phil) And if we don't win i will be happy for Bobby manc.
 
Reading Phil unlikely to come on at all with that foot injury which if true is a real shame for him.

Somebody who could hold that ball if England are ahead in the second half is going to be needed or equally someone who can come on and split a rigid but tiring defense with a killer pass or run.

That’s the spirit. Hope that all four City boys in the squad, two other City youth team players, two potential City signings, and all normal City fans who support England (which is the vast majority) are gutted tonight! All in favour of a bloke who left 8 years ago.

And don’t care about England, but care enough to make sure you’re seen in this thread saying you don’t care!
 
I want us to win wouldn’t mind us losing…

It’s going to be awful. 90 minutes of whoppers like James Corden and Ed Sheeran on our screens while normal fans who actually supported the team over the years are priced out.

Getting to our first final in 55 years is hardly going to go unnoticed by the media. The coverage isn’t ridiculous at all, they’re just excited for the biggest game in English football for decades.

Over-the-top coverage? The national team are in the final of the European Championships in the national sport for fuck’s sake.

It’s our first major final in 55 years ffs!

maybe the media could do another 24 hours coverage of Covid and a snippet of sport to let us know the score to cheer some up.
