Jack Grealish

Surely you recognise that Grealish has outgrown your club? Despite the loyalty he has shown you......Would you now resent him leaving to better himself and play on the stage his talent deserves?

Sorry but that is the type of comment chelsea fans threw at us when we had to sell SWP or Sturridge fucked off to them.

Never go full sky 4 attitude and start looking down on clubs we were just like not so long ago.

Villa fans may be tossers and annoying cunts, but the club itself has as rich a history as us not to belittle it and act superior.

Also a healthy league is one where talent is spread and competativeness happens, let's never want to end up like la liga or the bundersliga where a few clubs swallow up the best players and on one/two teams have a chance of winning it. Would be boring if that happened.

Ridiculous post. Get with the times.

Villa aren't winning anything if Grealish stays or not.

Couldn't give a fuck about the health of the league, no one gave a shit when we were crap. Now is our time to put our foot down on the throats of everyone else and keep winning. Why on earth would you give a shit about anything else.

Don't get what all the fuss is about with this lad personally, certainly no upgrade on Bernardo should he leave, only my opinion mind
We’ll see but I’d be very confident in a team as good as ours he’ll score more and assist more than Bernie. He’ll also be more creative as his ability to dribble past a man will add an extra dimension to our attacking play.

I don't give a shit about anyone else, but I do give a shit about city and us becoming the same kind of pricks that laughed at years for those years.

We may be the best in the land but without the other teams playing their part we wouldn't be

Or should become Bayern and play in an uncompetative dull league thats done by march.

Outgrown? Villa are a huge club. Has Mings outgrown them too? As I can only presume you are referring to the fact he is now a regular squad selection at international level.

Exactly , I hate hearing comments like that, arrogance in the extreme.

Aston Villa is bigger than Jack Grealish, Manchester City FC are bigger than any individual.

Short memory, 12 years ago we had our best players picked off because they had '"outgrown us".

It was sh1t then and it is the same today.

On the way to the top, never lose sight where you came from.

What relevance is 12yrs ago to now?

I have definitely lost sight of battling mid table and having our best players taken from us, it was shit.

Now we get to do it back to other teams and have done succesfully for 10years. I don't remember this outcry when we signed Barry, Lescott or Milner. Add in Clichy, Adebayor and Kolo as well because I remember a lot of blues being over the moon at now being able to go into pretty much any club in England and take their players and after all the years of hurt we finally getting a bit of payback.

100%. I've done the hard yards and it was shit. Dog eat dog and long may it continue.

Yes it was but deep down we knew when we had players that were always going to leave for bigger things like SWP. Same as Villa fans if they are honest with themselves know that sooner or later Grealish will move on to a bigger club. Today we are simply a bigger attraction to players that want to win things than Villa are. Just a fact, Doesn't make Villa a lesser club.

Grealish is nearly 26 years old and was one of the best players in the PL last season isn't really comparble to Ming's is it

You have completely missed the point.

Nowt wrong with wanting or signing players from anyone.

Believing you are entitled to sign them and if we go for them they should be sold to us or want to come because we are City is a different thing.

Also there is no outcry and no one has said let's not go for grealish.

Next thing you know some blues will be saying "we didn't want him anyway" when players turn us down

Your first sentence questions the relevance of events over a decade ago, yet you close by saying it’s an opportunity for ‘a bit of payback’. That appears contradictory. Surely our only motive in buying players is that they improve the first eleven.

I can understand the appeal of players joining us because they believe they will likely win more here than they would if they remained where they are. However, we shouldn’t dismiss the fortunes of others, as these clubs all have a chance of winning something whether they leave or stay, a point to which Mahrez and Leicester City can attest.

Soft bastard

I don’t think @FantasyIreland meant any disrespect tbh.

If you deal facts, we as a club are a much more attractive proposition to a player who wants to win titles.

At 4/6 we’re favourites to retain our title. That’ll be our sixth in ten years. In comparison Aston Villa are 150/1.

If a player desires a Premier League title, which by the sounds of it Grealish does, he will sound out a move that increases his chances of achieving that.

That’s no disrespect to Villa, they’re a fantastic club, but a players career is short. It doesn’t look like they’re going to have the overnight investment that would be required to win the titles that Grealish desires.

It can be an awkward topic to discuss as we know the other side all too well - we were there for years and quite rightly don’t want to forget it. But the fact of the matter is, if you want a title you’re going to have a better shot at achieving it at City.

SWP yes his big move to Chelsea, and how did that work out?

Not good, SWP was a good player in a poor side, very similar to what Jack Grealish is in my opinion.

Nothing wrong whatsoever, but what is the out growing BS?

Grealish will come for money, probably at least doubling his wages, and the chance to win a title or two, but I don't like the arrogance some have got now we are at the top table, we are getting rag like.
