Moeen isn't a leggie though - on the harder pitches, esp. in Oz, a decent leg-spinner would be more useful. No, I’m suggesting that Moeen Ali will always be selected ahead of him, when available, as he bats as well.

Parkinson would have to be tested against the Indians for him to have any chance of playing in Oz, unless already 3-0 down.Moeen isn't a leggie though - on the harder pitches, esp. in Oz, a decent leg-spinner would be more useful.
Yes, so play him on the only pitch in the series that's likely to suit a leg-spinner, Old Trafford. Had there been a test at Edgbaston or Southampton he may also have benefitted from a run out there but the other test grounds in this series tend to be either seamer-friendly or get lower and slower as the game progresses.Parkinson would have to be tested against the Indians for him to have any chance of playing in Oz, unless already 3-0 down.
I’m not trying to suggest he isn‘t good enough. I think he does offer something we lack. I was trying to portray how the ECB tends to work. They want multi-faceted cricketers these days. They obviously make exceptions when someone is so talented in one discipline eg Panesar.Yes, so play him on the only pitch in the series that's likely to suit a leg-spinner, Old Trafford. The ECB is a mystery to many of us! I've only got tickets for day one of the OT test so I doubt I'll see him bowl much "live".I’m not trying to suggest he isn‘t good enough. I hope Parkinson gets and takes his chance. Whether he will is up for debate.
I also hope to watch him bowl at OT in September!

Aye. Take out the last recognised batsman and then score 9.Total Muppetry from Curran
Not hating, but he was a total dick with the run out. Absolutely no need. Why was he so keen ?Usual Curran hatred, lol.
There’d be less if Sam was playing.Usual Curran hatred, lol.
well anyone who doesn't rate little Sammy has a problem. There’d be less if Sam was playing.
