We should be breaking the bank for this guy, the silence is deafening.
Sounds like were not in for him & Chelsea will get him.

is it hard for some people to realise that city arent going for haaland,if they wanted him they would wait for him next year or offer 150 mil to dortmund

To me if correct it's very disappointing, I understand we have to work under financial parameters and be aware of FFP / Wage structures etc, but every now and again if we are to evolve we need to paying high transfer fees otherwise what's the point?
To also see him seemingly sold to a rival that has schooled us in 3 consecutive matches adds salt to the wounds, it's like giving Chelsea a head start before we have kicked a ball.
Very disappointing news.

Oh no the famous "sky sources".

The article is just conjecture, it has other parties interested as Real and th rags ffs.

Sky know about as much as all us sad fuckers on here every day.

It's hard to be upset with the way we do our business when the success we've had is all there to see, but I can't help feeling disappointed that when the rare opportunity presents itself to sign a player like Haaland we don't go all in and prefer a safer, albeit quality option like Kane.
Hopefully we are keeping our powder dry and things are still going on behind the scenes that we don't know about but judging from what's been said on the Kane thread that's just wishful thinking.
If he goes to Chelsea then they are going to improve immeasurably. We are going to have to start the season bang on it because anything like last year's start will leave us with an uphill battle that I don't think we'd turn around like before.

It'll be disappointing if (repeat, IF) we're outbid for him. If we want this calibre of player, we have to shell out accordingly. Otherwise, settle for a cheaper (aka not as good?) alternative.

Completely agree. Add to that the consequence of him no longer being on the market will be that Levy will simply up the price on Kane, aware that he's the last option in that bracket and City have nowhere else to go. Giving them a free run at Haaland will be an enormous mistake.

Nobody has a clue what we have or haven't offered. Might have offered him 500k a week and hes turned it down, nobody knows.

This isn't the first time a player will go to Chelsea ahead of us and definitely not the last.

People in here acting like hes just signed for Brentford and are annoyed we didn't put up a fight.

Chelsea got hazard ahead of us based on them winning the champions league.
Looks like history could be repeating itself.
That loss in Porto could have big implications for us going forward.

*yes I am flapping because if they get Haaland, I'd say they are favourites for the title.

It will have no implications. We haven't won it yet, but it's not had any implications so far. Hazard was a little twat the way he went about things, with his silly Instagram unveiling. Cocky fucker. I don't think that had anything to do with Chelsea winning it, as there is no guarantee they would win it again whilst he would play for them. Likewise Haaland now. When has a British club done back to back CL? The liklihood is we will win it next year, Haaland or no Haaland.

We will sign the right player, and that includes them wanting to come here. For every player who prefers London to Mcr, there is a player who prefers Mcr to London. Can't just expect they will want to come, but the preferring a club who has just won the CL doesn't cut it for me. It is simply just preference/highest wage paid. Chelsea will beat us in that respect, like it or not. Our business model to date has done pretty well for us, i'd say

your right
but if you have a dream club you would like to sign for and they are after a new striker
plus you are one of the best in world football and city can buy you then its a dream made in heaven
Wearing a shirt as a kid because your Dad played for them is a bit different and regardless, he is a pro footballer, and not all pro footballers are motivated by playing for their boyhood clubs, some and I would say a vast majority, are greedy bastards who will play for anyone if the money is good.

This was from when hazard signed for Chelsea.
"When they won the Champions League I told myself, 'Why not Chelsea?'," said Hazard.

If Chelsea hadn't won the champions league, he may have signed for us instead.

Let him go to Chelsea. He is going to be more trouble than its worth.

If he flops in the league it’s an expensive mistake and if he is a sensation (which he most probably be) you know his dad and Riola will be knocking on the door every few months demanding more and more money or doing an under the table deal with Barca/Madrid for his transfer. I really don’t see him being at his next club for long.

Well that's shot me down in flames!
